Electronic logic gates that operate using N logic state levels, where N is greater than 2, and methods of operating such gates. The electronic logic gates operate according to truth tables. At least two input signals each having a logic state that can range over more than two logic states are provided to the logic gates. The logic gates each provide an output signal that can have one of N logic states. Examples of gates described include NAND/NAND gates having two inputs A and B and NAND/NAND gates having three inputs A, B, and C, where A, B and C can take any of four logic states. Systems using such gates are described, and their operation illustrated. Optical logic gates that operate using N logic state levels are also described.

Method and apparatus for supplying and switching power

A power supply includes a power source having at least one power source output, and a plurality of drivers connected to the at least one power source output. At least one of the plurality of drivers includes a bridge network having a first switch, a second switch and a bridge network output. The first switch is connected between the at least one power source output and the bridge network output. The second switch is connected between the bridge network output and a ground. The bridge network further includes at least one control input connected to the second switch. The bridge network is adapted to change a state of the first switch based on a state of the second switch.

Multiple driver power supply

A dimming power supply includes a power source, a full bridge rectifier with four nodes, a control switch and a controller. The first node is connected to the power source, the second is connected to a load output, and the third is connected to a reference voltage node. The control switch is connected between the fourth node and the reference voltage node. The controller is connected to a control input of the control switch. The controller is adapted to adjust a voltage or current through the load output.

In one embodiment, a slot array antenna comprising a quartz layer and a silicon layer, wherein the quartz and silicon layers are matched to suppress microwave modes, and a metal layer adjacent to the silicon layer comprising offset cuts.

Integrated ultra thin scalable 94 GHz Si power source

A differential output analog multiplier circuit utilizing four G-FETs, each source connected to a current source. The four G-FETs may be grouped into two pairs of two G-FETs each, where one pair has its drains connected to a load, and the other par has its drains connected to another load. The differential output voltage is taken at the two loads. In one embodiment, for each G-FET, the first and second junction gates are each connected together, where a first input voltage is applied to the front gates of each pair, and a second input voltage is applied to the first junction gates of each pair. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Four-gate transistor analog multiplier circuit

Various current controlled driver apparatuses are disclosed herein. For example, some embodiments of the present invention provide a current controlled driver including a control circuit having a current input and a driver circuit having a power input. The control circuit has an output that is directly electrically connected to an input of the driver circuit. The control circuit operates between a positive voltage level and a ground potential. The driver circuit is adapted to operate between a higher positive voltage level and a negative voltage level.

A power supply includes a power source having at least one power source output, and a plurality of drivers connected to the at least one power source output. At least one of the plurality of drivers includes a bridge network having a first switch, a second switch and a bridge network output. The first switch is connected between the at least one power source output and the bridge network output. The second switch is connected between the bridge network output and a ground. The bridge network further includes at least one control input connected to the second switch to direct electrical current from the at least one power source output either substantially through the bridge network output or through the second switch to ground.

The present invention includes processes and packaging for high voltage integrated circuits (ICs), high voltage electronic devices and high voltage electronic circuits which operate over a wide range of voltages, e.g., from tens of volts to tens of thousands of volts. The inventive processes and packaging are particularly suitable for integrating low or lower voltage circuits or transistors to form high voltage ICs, high voltage electronic devices and high voltage electronic circuits. The inventive processes and packaging are also particularly suitable for isolating high voltage electronics to achieve high breakdown voltages and for supporting high voltage operation. The inventive processes may be used with any suitable semiconductor materials using conventional semiconductor fabrication and related facilities.

Processes and packaging for high voltage integrated circuits, electronic devices, and circuits

An exemplary embodiment of an apparatus for supplying and switching power may include a power source, a transformer, a full bridge rectifier and a control switch. The transformer has a first winding and a second winding, the first winding being connected to the power source, the second winding having a first tap and a second tap, with the first tap being connected to a first load output. The full bridge rectifier includes four nodes, the first being connected to the second tap of the second winding, the second being connected to a second load output, the third being connected to a reference voltage source. The control switch is connected between a fourth of the four nodes and the reference voltage source.

An universal and programmable logic gate based on G-FET technology is disclosed, leading to the design of more efficient logic circuits. A new full adder design based on the G-FET is also presented. The G-FET can also function as a unique router device offering coplanar crossing of signal paths that are isolated and perpendicular to one another. This has the potential of overcoming major limitations in VLSI design where complex interconnection schemes have become increasingly problematic.

Universal programmable logic gate and routing method

The present invention relates to a reference current circuit. The reference circuit comprises a low-level current bias circuit, a voltage proportional-to-absolute temperature generator for creating a proportional-to-absolute temperature voltage (VPTAT), and a MOSFET-based constant-IC regulator circuit. The MOSFET-based constant-IC regulator circuit includes a constant-IC input and constant-IC output. The constant-IC input is electrically connected with the VPTAT generator such that the voltage proportional-to-absolute temperature is the input into the constant-IC regulator circuit. Thus the constant-IC output maintains the constant-IC ratio across any temperature range.

Wide-temperature integrated operational amplifier

A micro-colloid thruster system may be fabricated using micro electromechanical system (MEMS) fabrication techniques. A beam of charged droplets may be extracted from an emitter tip in an emitter array by an extractor electrode and accelerated by an accelerator electrode to produce thrust. The micro-colloid thruster system may be used as the main propulsion system for microspacecraft and for precision maneuvers in larger spacecraft.
