Ionic liquid perovskite devices

The teachings herein pertain to hole transporting compounds containing a cyclobutyl moiety, which can be made into organic hole conductors and into hole transporting material. Additionally, optoelectronic and photoelectrochemical devices comprising such hole transporting material or hole transporting compound are described, in particular photovoltaic devices, organic-inorganic perovskite films, layered photovoltaic devices, p-n heterojunctions, dye-sensitized solar cells, organic solar cells and solid-state solar cells. Notably, a fabricated perovskite solar cell module using a disclosed HTM compound exhibited a record efficiency over 19.0% with an active area of 30.24 cm.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a solid solar cells, including the steps of providing a hole collector layer, applying a conductive layer onto the hole collector layer, applying an electron blocking layer onto the conductive layer, applying a sensitizer layer onto the electron blocking layer, applying a hole blocking layer onto the sensitizer layer, and providing a current collector and/or a metal layer or a conductor. The sensitizer layer including an organic-inorganic perovskite is applied by co-deposition of one or more sublimated divalent or trivalent salts and of one or more sublimated organic ammonium salts to obtain the organic-inorganic perovskite. The invention also relates to solid state solar cells, wherein the charge flow is inverted compared to the charge flow in a solar cell of conventional architecture and/or obtained by the above method.

Inverted solar cell and process for producing the same

The present invention relates to photoanodes, solar cells and methods and processes for producing the same. In some embodiments, the solar cells of the invention can do without a sintered nanoporous scaffold layer, making it possible to produce the solar cells in low-temperature procedures. In some embodiments, the invention encompasses organic-inorganic perovskite sensitizers, deposited on a smooth metal oxide layer. In some embodiments, the organic-inorganic perovskite sensitizers are deposited in a two-step sequential process.

Solar cell and process for producing the same

The invention relates to electrochemical devices comprising complexes of cobalt comprising at least one ligand with a 5- or six membered, N-containing heteroring. The complex are useful as p- and n-dopants, as over of electrochemical devices, in particular in organic semiconductors. The complexes are further useful as over-discharge prevention and overvoltage protection agents.

Metal complexes for use as dopants and other uses

The present invention provides an improved redox couple for electrochemical and optoelectronic devices. The invention relates to substituted ullazine and analogs of ullazine as sensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and other photoelectrochemical and/or optoelectronic devices. The sensitizers may comprise donor substituents and/or acceptor substituents, besides an anchoring group suitable for attaching the sensitizer on a semiconductor surface. DSSCs based on this type of sensitizers exhibit high power conversion efficiencies.

Metal complex comprising a ligand having a combination of donor-acceptor substituents

This invention pertains to light emitting materials comprising novel ortho-metalated transition metal complexes [C^N]M(T)(L), comprising chelate dialkylamino-substituted C^N ligands, monodentate neutral ligand (L) having sphybridized N atom and a monodentate anionic ligand (T) chosen among CN, CNO, CNS. It has been surprisingly found that when the metal has bound thereto in addition to substituted orthometalated ligands, both an anion chosen among cyanide, thiocyanate, cyanate, possessing strong C donor and &#x3c0; acceptor properties, and a monodentate neutral ligand L, as above defined, said ligands advantageously participate in the emission process, significantly shifting emission towards higher energies (blue-shift) and enabling appreciable improvement of the emission efficiency of complexes [C^N]M(T)(L). Still objects of the invention are the use of said light emitting materials and organic light emitting device comprising said light emitting material.
