In accordance with various embodiments of the disclosed subject matter, a system, device and method for an electrically tunable wavelength selection filter comprising a wavelength selection filter portion having a plurality of alternating thin films of two dielectric materials with a thin film capacitor displacing one pair of alternating thin films, and an order sorting filter portion electrically isolated from but proximate the wavelength selection filter and having a plurality of alternating thin films of two dielectric materials where one of the dielectric materials exhibits a voltage-dependent refractive index. Independently controlling the capacitor charging voltage and the voltage across the order sorting filter enables selective transmission of narrow spectral lines across a desired frequency region.

Multi-order, tunable Fabry-Perot etalon filter with wavelength down-selector

An antenna array is provided including a substrate, a metal ground plane proximate the substrate, and a dielectric layer proximate the metal ground plane. A first plurality of antenna elements including polaronic organic transducer elements is proximate the dielectric layer and connected in series. A second plurality of antenna elements including polaronic organic transducer elements is proximate the dielectric layer and also connected in series. The first and second plurality of antenna elements are electrically isolated. The antenna elements of the first plurality of antenna elements are configured to detect a first wavelength, while the antenna elements of the second plurality of antenna elements are configured to detect a second wavelength, different from the first wavelength.

Integrated infrared optical antenna and polaronic organic transducer sensor

A method of quantifying computer vision algorithm performance. The method includes receiving a first image and a second image from an imaging system. Each of the first and second images is characterized by an image intensity value. Iteratively, an evaluation value of a noise profile is applies to the first and second images to form respective first and second composite images, and algorithm performance using the first and second composite images is measured. The measured performances are compared and an operational range of the algorithm determined. The noise profile includes at least one source of noise inherent to the imaging system.

Quantifying computer vision algorithm performance in the presence of system uncertainty

A method for registration of partially-overlapped images, comprises (a) performing noise reduction and feature extraction in a reference image and an unregistered image; (b) determining a template size using a phase transition methodology for a sufficiently-sampled finite data set; (c) identifying a template region in the reference image; (d) performing a wide angle estimation of the reference image and the unregistered image; (e) performing orientation and translation of the reference image and the unregistered image; (f) performing a search space reduction of the reference image and the unregistered image; (g) performing a coarse angle estimation of the reference image and the unregistered image; (h) performing orientation of the reference image and the unregistered image of the coarse angle estimation; and (i) performing a fine angle estimation and registration of the reference image and the unregistered image.
