In one example, a system includes a detection server configured to detect the presence of a mobile device in a designated area associated with a merchant location and for initiating a menu selection application in the mobile device for placing an order for at least one product. The system further includes a merchant server configured to receive, from the mobile device, purchase order data associated with the order for the at least one product, a customer identifier associated with the mobile device, and a location identifier associated with the designated area, and for utilizing the customer identifier to send a notification message that indicates that the at least one product is available to the mobile device.

Methods, systems, and computer readable media for detecting customer presence to initiate the ordering and purchase of goods and services

A system for facilitating virtual-to-physical secure remote payment to a physical location is described. In an embodiment, a transaction bridge server receives, from a merchant computing device of a merchant user, information for a communication session between a user computing device and the merchant user; generates a digital invitation to initiate the communication session; sends a touchpoint associated with the communication session to the user computing device; receives, from an application component of the user computing device, an indication of an interaction between the user computing device and the touchpoint, the indication comprising a request to access the digital invitation; initiates the communication session between the user computing device and the merchant computing device; generates a display page customized for a user of the user computing device, the display page comprising information for a transaction with the merchant; and sends the display page to the application component of the user computing device via communication session. The user of the user computing device and the merchant user are most probably present at different physical locations.

Virtual-to-physical secure remote payment to a physical location

A system for facilitating payment and non-payment transactions between a computing device that lacks an activated payment application and a merchant is described. In an embodiment, a transaction bridge server receives, from a merchant server, transaction information for a particular transaction between a user and a merchant. The transaction bridge server generates a URL representing the particular transaction, sends the URL to the merchant server, and receives, from a web browser of a computing device, an indication of an interaction between the computing device and a touchpoint comprising the URL, the indication comprising a request to access the URL. The transaction bridge server generates a display page customized for the user, the display page comprising the transaction information, sends the display page to the web browser of the computing device, receives an acceptance of the particular transaction, and initiates the particular transaction.

Cloud based system for engaging shoppers at or near physical stores

A soft card provisioning application is instantiated on a device with wireless communications capabilities. A card number for a soft card desired to be provisioned on the device is obtained from a user of the device. An issuer identification number retrieved from the card number is communicated to a provisioning configuration server over an air interface. A provisioning issuer server network address is obtained from the provisioning configuration server based on the issuer identification number. Card issuer specific challenges are presented to the user, and the user's responses to the challenges are received. The challenge responses are communicated to the provisioning issuer server. Soft card image data and personalization data, where the personalization data includes personalized embossed and pre-printed data, are received from the provisioning issuer server over the air interface. The soft card is provisioned for use on the device based on the data received over the air interface.

According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for using a mobile device to effect a secure electronic transaction. In one embodiment, the method includes, at a mobile backend server comprising one or more processors: receiving, from a mobile device of a user that is engaged in or desires to engage in an electronic transaction with an entity other than the user, first information that identifies the user and second information that directly or indirectly identifies the electronic transaction, wherein the second information does not contain payment information for the user; using the first information to identify the user; determining user payment information for the identified user; using the second information to identify a target for the payment information; and sending the user payment information to the identified target for use to initiate the electronic transaction.

The method also includes requesting component soft card data associated with each of the primary component soft card and the at least one secondary component soft card from a plurality of issuing system servers. A method for conducting an electronic transaction that includes initiating an electronic transaction between a mobile device and a POS reader device and applying at least a user identifier that is associated with a user of the mobile device and shared secret data as inputs to a cryptographic function in the mobile device. The method further includes inserting the output of the cryptographic function into legacy transaction formatted data, wirelessly providing the legacy transaction formatted data to the POS reader device via the electronic transaction, forwarding the legacy transaction formatted data to the issuer server, and processing, at the issuer server, the legacy transaction formatted data to verify the user identifier and request authorization for the electronic transaction. The method also includes sending a notification message to the POS reader device that indicates that the electronic transaction is authorized and conducting the electronic transaction upon receipt of the notification message.
