An energy absorbing structure connects a first structure of a vehicle to an adjacent second structure of the vehicle. The energy absorbing structure includes support beams and lattice arrays. Each support beam is located at a respective corner of the energy absorbing structure and extend in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The support beams connect the first structure to the second structure. The lattice arrays are located at respective sides of the energy absorbing structure and form a periphery of the energy absorbing structure. Each lattice array connects adjacent support beams to each other.

Splayed front horn for vehicle frames are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a first structural member extending along an axial direction of a vehicle, a second structural member coupled to the first structural member, the second structural member splayed relative the first structural member, second structural member including a first section having a first material property, the first section adjacent to the first structural member, and a second section joined to the first section, the second section having a second material property, the first material property different than the second material property.

A vehicle includes a frame including two frame rails spaced from each other along a cross-vehicle axis and a bulkhead extending from one frame rail to the other frame rail. The frame rails are elongated along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. An engine is disposed between the frame rails and is spaced from the bulkhead along the vehicle-longitudinal axis. A cable is elongated along the cross-vehicle axis and is disposed between the engine and the bulkhead. The cable is connected to each frame rail between the engine and bulkhead.

A vehicle frame includes a frame rail, a shock tower bracket, and a cable. The frame rail is elongated along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. The shock tower bracket is connected to the frame rail. The cable is connected to the frame rail and the shock tower bracket. The cable extends transverse to the vehicle-longitudinal axis from the frame rail to the shock tower bracket.

A vehicle includes a pair of frame rails and a bumper assembly. The bumper assembly includes a bumper beam supported by the frame rails and an airbag. The airbag includes a first airbag chamber supported by the bumper beam and inflatable to an inflated position, and a second airbag chamber supported by the bumper and inflatable to an inflated position. The first airbag chamber is disposed in a cross-vehicle direction relative to the second airbag chamber. The first airbag chamber has a first volume in the inflated position. The second airbag chamber has a second volume in the inflated position. The first volume is different than the second volume.

The vehicle frame includes a cross-member extending from the first frame rail to the second frame rail. A battery enclosure extends from the first frame rail to the second frame rail. The battery enclosure includes a first side member and a second side member. The first side member is connected to and deformable relative to the first frame rail. The second side member is connected to and deformable relative to the second frame rail. The battery enclosure includes a reinforcement connected to the first side member, the second side member, and the cross-member.

An example apparatus includes a frame of a vehicle having a side rail directed in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and a splayed front horn coupled to the side rail, the splayed front horn angled outward relative to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, wherein the splayed front horn includes a first section and a second section, the first and second sections having different physical properties.

A network of rails for a vehicle includes a lateral rail that extends primarily along a lateral axis of the vehicle, a longitudinal rail that extends primarily along a longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and a circular rail that interacts with at least one of the lateral rail and the longitudinal rail.

A vehicle frame assembly includes, among other things, a main rail and a node assembly attached to the main rail. The node assembly includes a forward mounting member, a rear mounting member, and a deflector extending between the forward mounting member and rear mounting member. When a load exceeds a threshold load that is applied to a front of a vehicle, the deflector is configured to engage a tire and deflect the tire from entering a forward vehicle area.

The first chamber extends farther outboard of the rocker in the inflated position than the second chamber.

A seat base assembly includes a coupling member, a plurality of adjustment tracks coupled to the coupling member, and a plurality of seat legs, the plurality of seat legs includes at least one inner seat leg, and at least one outer seat leg, wherein the at least one inner seat leg and the at least one outer seat leg each comprise upturned bottom edges, and a lock assembly coupled to at least one of the plurality of seat legs.

An assembly includes a first frame rail and a second frame rail elongated along a longitudinal axis and spaced from each other along a lateral axis. The assembly includes a crossbeam extending along the lateral axis and fixed under the first frame rail and the second frame rail. The assembly includes a first support member extending transversely from the crossbeam to a first end fixed to the first frame rail. The assembly includes a second support member extending transversely from the crossbeam to a second end fixed to the second frame rail.

A vehicle includes a roof, a floor spaced from the roof, and sides spaced from each other in a cross-vehicle direction. The sides extend from the roof to the floor. Front seats and rear seats are supported by the floor. A beam is spaced from the roof and the floor and extends between the front and rear seats from one side to the other side in the cross-vehicle direction.
