A method and a system for detecting defects in solar panels. The method includes collecting an image dataset of infrared images of the at least one mounted and operational solar panel; applying the image dataset to a YOLOS-PV convolutional neural network; converting the image dataset to a set of patches; applying position embedding to each patch and generating a set of position embedded patches; applying the set of position embedded patches to a transformer block encoder; generating a set of detection tokens; applying the set of detection tokens to an array of multi-layer perceptron (MLP) heads; classifying defects in the position embedded patches; setting, by the MLP heads, a plurality of Bpred bounding boxes for each of the set of position embedded patches; and identifying a solar panel in need of repair based on the defects in the set of position embedded patches and the plurality of Bpred bounding boxes.

Method and system for detecting defects in solar panels

A method and a system for performing crowd management in a religious site includes receiving registration information from a plurality of pilgrims, including mobile numbers for receiving text messages. The method includes periodically capturing, by a plurality of surveillance cameras, camera view images for views of each camera of respective portions of the religious site. The method includes automatically estimating a number of pilgrims in each camera view image using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm. The method includes automatically detecting a percentage of mobile numbers of pilgrims occupying overcrowded areas and sending text messages to the detected percentage of mobile numbers that direct the pilgrims to different areas where the camera view images have low crowd density.

Method and system for crowd management in religious sites

A floating solar photovoltaic system and a method for cooling a back surface of a photovoltaic panel are described. The floating solar photovoltaic system includes a rectangular float having a divided top platform and four interconnected walls, and a cross-shaped support configured to fit between the walls and holding four pontoons within openings formed thereby. An anchoring system maintains positional stability using concrete blocks interconnected by plastic-coated stainless-steel wires. A bi-facial solar photovoltaic panel is supported by the cross-shaped support, upon triangular braces, to generate electrical power from solar radiation. A waterproof control panel cabinet is also supported with the cross-shaped support. The floating solar photovoltaic system implements environmental monitoring through temperature and irradiance sensors, with data collection and wireless transmission capabilities. An integrated power management system enables both energy storage and transmission through a maximum power point tracking converter.

An optimized residual of the modelling is compressed using entropy coding or quantization coding techniques, and the optimized residual and the parameter sets are transmitted to a remote processing station for reconstruction and analysis of the discontinuities.

Systems and methods for sign language recognition are described to include circuitry to detect and track at least one hand and at least one finger of the at least one hand from at least two different locations in a room, generate a 3-dimensional (3D) interaction space based on the at least two different locations, acquire 3D data related to the at least one detected and tracked hand and the at least one detected and tracked finger, extract 3D features associated with the at least one detected and tracked hand and the at least one detected and tracked finger, analyze a relevance metric related to the extracted 3D features, classify at least one pattern from each of the at least two different locations based on a fusion of data outputs by the circuitry, and generate a recognized sign language letter based on the fusion of the data outputs.

The system and method for tracking people provides for the tracking of individuals in large crowds, such as the tracking of individual pilgrims during the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. A polling request is initially transmitted from a tracking station to a mobile device associated with a particular person of interest. Upon receipt of the polling request, a location signal is transmitted back to the tracking station. The location signal includes positional and time data representative of the location of the mobile device at the time of transmission. Additionally, a supplemental location signal is also transmitted to the tracking station, the supplemental location signal being representative of the location of the mobile device when the mobile device is detected within proximity of a fixed sensor. A visual display image of the path of the person of interest is then displayed at the tracking station overlaid on a geographic map.
