Disclosed are methods and systems for monitoring control channel candidates in a common search space (or a common search space set) in a wireless communication network. One of the methods is performed at a user equipment (UE). The method comprises: determining a first set of parameters for configuring a first set of monitoring occasions for the UE to monitor control channel candidates in a common search space (CSS); transmitting, to a network entity, an indication indicating the first set of parameters; and monitoring control channel candidates in the CSS during the first set of monitoring occasions.

Resource efficient common search space monitoring

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration associated with a plurality of search spaces, wherein the plurality of search spaces are distributed across a plurality of slots. The UE may drop all search spaces of an identified slot based at least in part on one or more overbooking conditions. An apparatus for wireless communication at a UE is provided. The apparatus is configured to receive a configuration to report interference measurement information indicating interference measurements for each interference measurement resource of a set of interference measurement resources and Rx beam information used by the UE for performing interference measurements on each interference measurement resource of the set of interference measurement resources. The apparatus is configured to receive a set of interference measurement reference signals on the set of interference measurement resources, and to measure interference on each interference measurement resource of the set of interference measurement resources to obtain the interference measurement information. A user equipment (UE) may receive signals via one or more interference measurement resources. The UE may obtain interference measurements for a wireless communication channel based on the signals. The UE may transmit an interference report to a network entity that indicates a respective set of one or more distribution parameters for each probability distribution of a set of multiple probability distributions of the mixture distribution. Each probability distribution may correspond to a respective component of the mixture distribution. The network entity may schedule wireless communications with the UE based on the interference report and the mixture distribution.

The first network node may determine, using a multi-head machine learning model having a body module and a plurality of head modules, a plurality of estimated parameter values of a plurality of parameters corresponding to the set of resources, wherein the body module extracts a set of common features based at least in part on a set of model inputs corresponding to the set of resources, and wherein the plurality of head modules generate the plurality of estimated parameter values based at least in part on the set of common features. Aspects presented herein may improve interference measurements for dynamic and/or bursty transmissions. In one aspect, a UE receives a configuration of a null tone pattern from a network node, where the configuration of the null tone pattern includes a set of null tones associated with a set of resources, where at least one null tone in the set of null tones corresponds to at least one resource in the set of resources. The UE measures interference corresponding to the set of resources associated with the null tone pattern. The UE transmits at least one of a first indication of an adjusted null tone pattern based on the interference corresponding to the set of resources or a second indication of the interference corresponding to the set of resources, where at least one of the first indication or the second indication is transmitted to the network node.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit compressed interference information to a network entity. The UE may measure interference at the UE over a set of interference measurement resources. The UE may determine an interference distribution over the set of resources. The UE may encode the interference distribution using a compressions scheme which may reduce a payload or size of the interference distribution. The compression scheme may include compressing the distribution of the interference. Encoding the interference information may include generating a mean vector and a covariance matrix representative of the distribution of the interference measured over the given set of interference measurement resources. The UE may transmit the encoded interference information, and the network entity may decode the encoded interference information. The network entity may schedule communications with the UE based on the interference information.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an amount of time between uplink allocations that is needed for performing frequency retuning during operation at a subcarrier spacing (SCS). The UE may perform frequency retuning in association with hopping from a first set of frequency resources, associated with transmitting a first uplink transmission, to a second set of frequency resources, associated with transmitting a second uplink transmission, during operation at the SCS, wherein the frequency retuning is performed during a set of consecutive unallocated resources determined based at least in part on the amount of time between uplink allocations that is needed for performing frequency retuning. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), including receiving, from a network entity, an indication to report at least one of a channel quality indicator (CQI) or a pre-coding matrix indicator (PMI) for one or more future communications resources and sending, to the network entity, a channel state feedback (CSF) report indicating at least one of a predicted CQI or a predicted PMI for the one or more future communications resources prior to the one or more future communications resources occurring in time.
