An adaptive method for activating a vehicle function using a user's portable device and communicating in ultra-wideband with the vehicle. The function being activated based on the portable device's location by applying a predictive model trained beforehand using pairs of predetermined received signal strength values and predetermined time-of-flight values from a plurality of reference portable devices, and using authentication of the portable device, the method: establishing beforehand a bijective function linking the received signal strength values and the time-of-flight values; then: for a plurality of direct signals received from a new portable device: establishing a new bijective function; using each new pair of values for time-of-flight and received signal strength; calculating a received signal strength difference between the two bijective functions; applying the difference to the training received signal strength values; determining the location of the new portable device using the new pairs of received signal strength and time-of-flight values and by applying the modified predictive model; activating the vehicle function according to the location.

Adaptive method for activating a vehicle function and associated adaptive activation device

A method for activating a vehicle function, by an activation device including a transceiver to communicate with 'hands-free' access equipment. The transceiver is equipped with a gyroscope and a magnetometer and two receiving antennas that have a coefficient of electromagnetic coupling between them that is below a threshold. The method includes the following steps for at least two consecutive footsteps: transmission of a signal comprising data of the gyroscope and the magnetometer of the “hands-free” equipment to the vehicle; comparison of the data with representative values of the gyroscope and the magnetometer of the transceiver; determination of a first direction of the user; determination of a second direction of the user based on an estimation of a first angle of arrival of the signal towards the transceiver; comparison of the first direction and the second direction; activation of the vehicle function on the basis of the result of the comparison.

Method for activating a function of a vehicle via an ultrawide band with an item of portable user equipment, associated system and device for activating a function

A method for scanning for presence inside a vehicle, using a scanning device including at least one internal and one external ultra-wideband transceiver module for locating portable 'hands-free' access equipment carried by a user. The device has an Ultra High Frequency communicator for communicating with the equipment. The method includes: a) detecting locking of the vehicle; b) for a predetermined duration: i) scanning for presence inside the vehicle with the internal module; ii) simultaneously transmitting a request to the equipment for detecting a U-turn by the user; iii) if a U-turn signal is received, stopping scanning and determining the position of the user with the two modules; iv) if presence is detected inside the vehicle, stopping scanning and transmitting a warning; c) when the duration has elapsed, if no U-turn signal is received and if no presence is detected, the position of the user is determined with the two modules.

Method for scanning for presence inside a locked vehicle, associated device and scanning system

A satellite communication module for a vehicle. The module includes an electronic control unit and at least one antenna capable of communicating with a plurality of satellites that are characterized by a predefined orbital trajectory and the same predefined speed. The at least one antenna being configurable according to a plurality of configurations, each configuration allowing the at least one antenna to radiate in an angular window, each angular window corresponding to an area of the sky that is characterized by a longitudinal coordinate and a transverse coordinate. The control unit includes a memory area. The memory area including a calibration table of the at least one antenna. The control circuit being configured to adapt the radiation of the at least one antenna so that the antenna radiates in the direction of the at least one determined angular window during the corresponding given time interval.

The sensor includes a measurement and transmission circuit, an antenna impedance matching circuit, and an antenna circuit. The sensor includes a sensitivity switch controlled by the measurement and transmission circuit and suitable for switching the antenna circuit according to two modes: a dynamic mode in which the antenna circuit is configured as a magnetic antenna, and in which the sensor transmits said radio signal representative of the measured physical quantity, this signal including transmitted data frames; and a static mode in which the antenna circuit is configured as an electric antenna.

The method includes measuring the quality factor of the transmitter antenna, measuring the quality factor of the receiver antenna, and comparing the measured quality factor of the transmitter antenna with a predetermined quality factor threshold of the transmitter antenna and comparing the measured quality factor of the receiver antenna with a predetermined quality factor threshold of the receiver antenna so as to deduce therefrom the relative position of the metal object in relation to the user device and to the transmitter antenna or the absence of an interfering metal object.

A device for high-frequency communication and for the inductive charging of an apparatus, including a charging surface, at least one charging antenna emitting a magnetic field at a low frequency and a layer of ferromagnetic material. The device includes at least one communication antenna and a printed circuit board. The communication antenna is in the form of a coil locally surrounding the layer with an axis of symmetry situated in a plane parallel to the layer. The material of the layer is selected so as to have, at high frequency, an imaginary part with sufficiently high permeability to generate leaks on a surface of the layer extending perpendicular to the layer, while at the same time maintaining, at low frequency, an imaginary part with sufficiently low permeability to allow inductive charging.

A device for near-field communication with a portable user apparatus, includes: a first communication antenna located on a first carrier; a first device for activating the first antenna located on a second carrier, which is facing the first carrier and mechanically connected to the first carrier by pads. The pads are made of conductive metal and the device also includes: a second antenna, a first winding portion of which is located on one end of the first carrier and a second winding portion of which is located on one end of the second carrier, the two ends facing one another. The first portion and second portion of each winding electrically connected by a pad, the second antenna emitting an electromagnetic field, a main component of which is perpendicular to a main component of the electromagnetic field emitted by the first antenna; and a second device for activating said second antenna.

A device for detecting the approach of a portable electronic apparatus and for communicating in the near field with a first antenna for communication at high frequency and an electrical power-supply and control unit having a device for measuring a variation in the amplitude of an electrical parameter representative of detection of the approach of the apparatus. The device includes a second near-field communication antenna housed in a space delimited by the first antenna and associated with a resonance circuit by being connected to the control unit by a switch having a first position for near-field communication where the second antenna is not supplied with power and a second position for approach detection where the second antenna is connected and enters into resonance with the first, active antenna.

An apparatus for detecting the approach of a mobile device and for near-field communication with the device, includes an NFC antenna under a receiving surface, at least one matching component and an electronic control unit connected by a power supply line and capable of near-field communication with the mobile device. The detection apparatus includes: at least one conductive element; a selector, located on each side of the component and on each side of the conductive element, each having two positions: in a first position the component is connected to the power supply line and the conductive element is not; in a second position the conductive element is connected to the power supply line and the component is not; measuring a variation in an electrical parameter of the conductive element when the two selectors are in the second position to detect the approach of the mobile device toward the receiving surface.
