A user equipment (UE) may transmit a configured-grant uplink control information (CG-UCI) to a base station during a channel occupancy time (COT) initiated by the UE in a shared spectrum, the CG-UCI comprising COT sharing information, the COT sharing information indicating, at least, an index value corresponding to a combination of: an indication of an offset to a beginning of a downlink transmission opportunity during the COT; an indication of a duration of the downlink transmission opportunity during the COT; and an indication of a channel access priority class (CAPC) value used by the UE to initiate the COT. The base station may transmit a downlink transmission to the UE within the downlink transmission opportunity and in accordance with the COT sharing information in the transmitted CG-UCI. Apparatuses are also disclosed.

Methods and apparatuses for COT sharing in unlicensed spectrum

Systems and methods for two-step random access procedure are described. According to embodiments, a user equipment (UE) transmits a random access preamble on a random access channel. The UE also transmits data on an uplink data channel using a particular uplink data channel resource. The particular uplink data channel resource is selected by the UE based on the random access preamble.

Systems and methods for two-step random access procedure

A random access method is described that includes a network device determines a first channel access type used by a terminal device to access a first unlicensed frequency band, where the first channel access type is one of channel access types of an unlicensed frequency band, and there are two channel access types of the unlicensed frequency band: frame based equipment (FBE) and load based equipment (LBE). The network device sends a first system message to the terminal device, where the first system message carries first indication information, and the first indication information is used to indicate the first channel access type. The terminal device obtains the first system message from the network device, and accesses the first unlicensed frequency band by using the first channel access type indicated by the first indication information.

Random access method and apparatus

Wireless communication between a user equipment (UE) and a base station may occur on unlicensed spectrum. When wirelessly communicating on unlicensed spectrum, there is an expectation that there may be interference from others devices also transmitting on the same resources in the unlicensed spectrum. Systems and methods are therefore disclosed that aim to facilitate wireless communication in unlicensed spectrum. In some embodiments, systems and method are disclosed that are directed to the transmission of uplink control information (UCI) in unlicensed spectrum. The UCI may be or include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. The HARQ feedback may correspond to a downlink data transmission that was also sent on unlicensed spectrum.

Systems and methods for transmission of uplink control information over multiple carriers in unlicensed spectrum

Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide for configuring channel access mechanisms in a mmWave shared spectrum mobile communication network. The channel access mechanisms are to be used by a user equipment (UE) and a serving node in the UE's serving cell. The configuring may use a single, cell-specific higher layer parameter or a combination of two cell-specific higher layer parameters. The parameters may configure the UE and the node to perform channel sensing before transmitting to initiate a channel occupancy. Alternatively, the UE and the node may be configured to transmit directly without channel sensing. The parameters may configure a receiver (the UE or the node) to perform channel sensing before transmitting a channel idle indication to the transmitter as part of a channel access procedure to initiate a channel occupancy. Alternatively, the parameters may configure the UE and the node to receive without channel sensing.

Channel access mechanisms in millimeter wave unlicensed bands

The disclosed systems and methods for wireless communication directed are towards (i) encoding data bits to be transmitted over a multiple resource unit (MRU) in a wireless local area network (WLAN), (ii) creating a group of the encoded data bits based on a predetermined criterion, (iii) parsing the encoded bits in the group based on a proportional ratio associated with the MRU, (iv) modulating the parsed encoded data bits to generate modulated encoded data symbols, (v) mapping the modulated encoded data symbols to data subcarriers to generate encoded data subcarriers, the data subcarriers being associated with respective resource units (RUs) of the MRU, (vi) duplicating the encoded data subcarriers within the respective RUs, (vii) shuffling the duplicate encoded data subcarriers across the respective RUs of the MRU, and (viii) transmitting the encoded data subcarriers, and the duplicate encoded data subcarriers over the MRU in the WLAN.

Methods and devices for grant-free uplink transmission in unlicensed spectrum are provided. A base station (BS) transmits grant-free resource configuration information to one or more electronic devices (EDs). The grant-free resource configuration information is used to configure the ED for GF uplink transmission in unlicensed spectrum. The GF resource configuration information includes GF ED group-specific resource configuration information indicating GF ED group-specific time-frequency (T/F) resources of the unlicensed spectrum for GF uplink transmission. The ED(s) transmit grant-free uplink transmissions over the unlicensed spectrum in accordance with the GF resource configuration information.

Methods and apparatuses for supporting outside the context of a basic service set (OCB) concurrent with infrastructure-based communications, including cellular communications or basic service set (BSS) communications, are described. OCB service information is transmitted by an infrastructure unit in an infrastructure-based communication. The OCB service information include a service identifier and channel information for each available OCB service. The infrastructure unit may then communicate with a terminal unit over an OCB communication link, to provide an OCB service to the terminal unit.
