A retention mechanism for attaching equipment to a mounting rail comprises a slider including a first retention section and a pivoting lever mechanical coupled to the slider. The slider is movable in a translational manner along a sliding direction with respect to a remaining portion of the retention mechanism. The lever includes a second retention section aligned with the first retention section in the sliding direction. A reception area for receiving the mounting rail is defined between the first retention section and the second retention section.

A module arrangement for a modular field device connection unit comprises a frame module having an interface receptacle, an interface module adapted to be inserted into the interface receptacle along a module insertion path, and a resetting mechanism adapted to reset the movable coding element into the neutral position by insertion of the interface module into the interface receptacle and/or removal of the interface module from the interface receptacle. The interface module has a cartridge receptacle and a movable coding element. The movable coding element is movable from a neutral position into a coding position by insertion of a cartridge member into the cartridge receptacle. The resetting mechanism has a trigger element at least partially protruding into the module insertion path.

A contact element is disclosed and includes a body of contact material, a mating plug end, a conductor end, and a fold-over layer of the contact material. The mating plug end is positioned at one end of the body, while the conductor end is positioned an opposite end of the body with respect to the mating plug end. The mating plug end includes a conductor-side cross-width less than a plug-side cross-width of the mating plug end. The fold-over layer of the contact material is disposed along at the mating plug end.

The electrical contact arrangement includes first contact, arm, a second contact arm, an intermediate space provided between the first and second contact arms, and a third contact arm.
