Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, an indication of a subset of tracking reference signal (TRS) resource sets from a plurality of TRS resource sets. The UE may receive, from the network node, a TRS availability indication bitmap that indicates an availability of a TRS associated with the subset of TRS resource sets. The UE may determine that the TRS is available based at least in part on the TRS availability indication bitmap. The UE may receive, from the network node, the TRS based at least in part on the TRS availability indication bitmap indicating that the TRS is available. Numerous other aspects are described.

Indicating an availability of a tracking reference signal (TRS) associated with a subset of TRS resource sets

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first network node, a first indication of satellite assistance information that is associated with a second network node, a second indication of first timing information that is associated with the satellite assistance information, and a third indication of second timing information that is associated with the satellite assistance information. The UE may transmit an uplink signal to the second network node based at least in part on validating the satellite assistance information using the second timing information. Mobility management in a non-terrestrial network

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may obtain, at an access stratum (AS) layer, an indication of an inter-satellite link (ISL) activation that is to take place at an activation time. The wireless communication device may receive communications. The wireless communication device may buffer the communications in a buffer at the AS layer. The wireless communication device may release the communications from the buffer to an upper protocol layer at a rate of release that is to change between a transition start time and the activation time. Buffer release for inter-satellite link transition

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a time period during which the UE is configured to receive grants scheduling communications for the UE, wherein the grants are associated with a first grant format type. The UE may determine that the grants include a feedback process identifier exceeding a threshold value. The UE may maintain a power saving state of a discontinuous reception procedure for a feedback process associated with the feedback process identifier during the time period based at least in part on the feedback process identifier exceeding the threshold value.

Reported mobile device location assessment

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may operate by asynchronously transmitting code division multiple access (CDMA) uplink signals to a network entity. The UE may transmit the CDMA signals via an uplink channel that may be shared with orthogonal frequency multiplexing (OFDM) signaling transmitted by one or more other UEs. The UE may indicate to the network entity a capability for communicating with CDMA waveforms and may use CDMA waveforms based on transmitting the indication. The UE may also receive one or more parameters associated with using the CDMA waveforms, and may use CDMA waveforms based on the one or more parameters. The uplink channel may be a random access channel (RACH) and may support RACH transmissions, or may be a data channel and support data transmissions.

Concurrent code division and frequency division signaling via an uplink channel

Techniques are described for supporting user equipment (UE) positioning in a non-terrestrial network (NTN). To allow calculating a position/location of a UE based on reference signal (RS) measurements to and from one satellite (or a terrestrial base station), a device may be configured to calculate a doppler measurement and a range measurement and report such measurements to be used by a location server to calculate a UE position. An example device may receive a first RS (with the first RS being one of a positioning reference signal (PRS) or a sounding reference signal (SRS)), receive a second RS associated with the first RS, calculate a doppler measurement based on one or both of the first RS or the second RS, and report the doppler measurement. The doppler measurement (such as a measured frequency offset) may be used by a location server to calculate a UE position on the earth surface.

User equipment positioning based on a non-terrestrial communication network

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain updated location information, and determine a time difference between a previous communication with a network and a scheduled uplink transmission. Based on the determined time difference, the UE may determine a timing advance (TA) component of a TA value to apply for the uplink transmission, and transmit an uplink message in the uplink transmission according to the determined TA value and the location information. In some examples, the time difference may be based on a first duration between the uplink transmission and a previous uplink transmission, a second duration between the uplink transmission and a previous TA command received from the network, or both. In some examples, the determined TA value may be based on additional parameters, such as an autonomous adjustment step, an aggregate adjustment rate, a scaling factor, or any combination thereof.

Aspects described herein relate to receiving, from a network node, a first transmission for configuring a configured grant, wherein the configured grant allocates one or more resources associated with an uplink transmission process having a transmission process identifier, obtaining a first indication that the network node uses a fallback downlink control information (DCI) format, and modifying, based at least in part on obtaining the first indication and the transmission process identifier, the uplink transmission process. Other aspects relate to configuring a device for modifying the uplink transmission process, receiving uplink communications based on the modified uplink transmission process, and/or the like.

The apparatus may be provided to improve a PAPR in at least one of a single-carrier FDM signal or DFT-s-OFDM. The apparatus may be configured to encode a set of information bits with a channel encoder; generate, based on a set of encoded bits from the channel encoder, a set of amplitude symbols using a distribution matching function; generate a set of modulated symbols based on the set of amplitude symbols; and transmit, to a second device, a signal based on the set of modulated symbols. An apparatus may be configured to receive, from a first device, a signal based on a set of modulated symbols and derive a set of encoded bits based on the received set of modulated symbols using a distribution matching function.
