Provided is an electrolysis arrangement including a plurality of electrolytic units, wherein each electrolytic unit includes an electrolytic cell and an AC-DC power converter configured to provide DC power for that electrolytic cell; a plurality of electrolytic assemblies, wherein each electrolytic assembly includes a number of electrolytic units; at least one wind turbine including an electrical generator with a number of armature windings, wherein each armature winding provides AC power to one electrolytic assembly; and a converter unit controller configured to regulate the AC-DC power converters of the electrolytic units on the basis of the power output of an electrical generator. A method of operating such an electrolysis arrangement is also provided.

Electrolysis arrangement

A method to determine a dry-out period of a converter of a wind turbine is provided. A time dependent chronology of data is measured in the converter. The measured data-chronology reflects the actual humidity and the humidity-history in the converter cabinet. The measured data-chronology is used to determine a dry-out period of time, which is needed to reduce the humidity inside the converter below a given value by circulating heat inside the converter.

In one aspect, a system for triggering an emergency system of a wind turbine is described. The system comprises a sensor for sensing an acceleration value of a portion of the rotor of the wind turbine, an estimation unit coupled to the sensor, wherein the estimation unit is adapted for receiving the acceleration value from the sensor and for estimating a rotor rotational speed value of the rotor of the wind turbine based on the acceleration value, and a triggering unit coupled to the estimation unit, wherein the triggering unit is adapted for receiving the rotor rotational speed value and for triggering the emergency system, when the rotor rotational speed value exceeds a predefined limit value. Further described are a method for triggering an emergency system of a wind turbine, a wind turbine, a computer program and a computer-readable medium, which are all adapted for carrying out the triggering method.
