A linear motion device includes: a bearing mounted to the outer periphery of a ball screw; a nut holder through which the ball screw passes; and a bearing pressing member which is fixed to a motor housing with the ball screw inserted in a through hole and which restricts the movement of the bearing in the motor housing in the axial direction. The bearing pressing member has a cutout portion extending from the inner peripheral surface of the through hole over to the outer peripheral surface of the bearing pressing member in the radial direction.

A control device includes: an input unit; a motor driving control unit; an amount-of-movement detecting unit; a coordinate position detecting unit; a display unit; and a rounding processing unit configured to perform rounding processing to round the coordinate position and the amount of movement of an object to be moved, to a rounding place corresponding to an axial feed rate. A sealing mechanism is disposed in a lower-arm insertion portion of a working tank of a wire-cut electric discharge machine, and a pre-sealing unit is attached to the sealing mechanism.
