A medical device for removing an intravascular thrombus includes: a rotatable tubular driving shaft in which a spiral-shaped carrier is provided on an inner surface thereof; a cutting part that is provided on a distal side of the driving shaft and cuts the thrombus; and an elongated resistive body that is disposed in a lumen of the driving shaft and can be rotated relative to the driving shaft.

Medical device and treatment method

A medical device is disclosed that can help prevent an object existing in a body lumen from clogging a lumen of an elongated member. The medical device including an elongated member having a lumen extending in an axial direction; an insertion member inserted in the lumen of the elongated member on a distal side of the lumen; and a breaking member fixed on an inner surface of the elongated member such that a gap is formed between the insertion member and the breaking member in the lumen of the elongated member on the distal side, and wherein the breaking member exerts a shearing force or a stretching force to the object by rotating relative to the insertion member while the object is between the insertion member and the breaking member.

A medical device is disclosed that can help prevent a guide wire from coming into contact with a rotating body in the middle of performing a treatment and achieves improvement in the efficiency of cutting an object by the rotating body. The medical device has a sheath that is insertable into a body lumen, a rotatable hollow rotating body that is disposed to protrude toward a distal side of the sheath, and guide wire lumens into which a guide wire w is insertable in parallel with the sheath. A distal surface of the rotating body has corrugated portions.

Medical elongated body

A medical device is disclosed that can help prevent an object existing in a body lumen from clogging a lumen of an elongated member. The medical device including an elongated member having a lumen extending in an axial direction; an insertion member inserted in the lumen of the elongated member on a distal side of the lumen; and a breaking member fixed on an inner surface of the elongated member such that a gap is formed between the insertion member and the breaking member in the lumen of the elongated member on the distal side, and wherein the breaking member exerts a shearing force to the object by rotating relative to the insertion member while the object is between the insertion member and the breaking member.

A medical device to effectively remove an object, like an intravascular thrombus, in a body lumen includes: a rotatable tubular driving shaft; a cutting part that is provided on a distal side of the driving shaft, rotates together with the driving shaft, and cuts the thrombus; and a second cutting part that is disposed near the distal side of the driving shaft, inward of the cutting part.

A medical device is disclosed for cutting an object in a living body lumen. The medical device includes a rotatable elongate member, rotating member having a cutting portion cutting the object and disposed on the distal end side of the elongate member for rotating together with rotation of the elongate member; and a distal member having a guide portion disposed on the distal end side of the rotating member with a space left from the rotating member and a supporting portion which supports the guide portion and defines a dimension of the space in an axial direction of the elongate member. The guide portion is disposed at a position at which the guide portion overlaps with part of the cutting portion and exposes part of the cutting portion as viewed from the distal end side of the distal member.

A medical device for removing an object within a living body lumen includes a rotatable tubular driven shaft having a leading-out hole opening in a proximal portion of the driven shaft, a cutting unit disposed on a distal side of the driven shaft, the cutting unit cutting an object while rotating together with the driven shaft, and a suction tubular body having a distal portion and a proximal portion, the distal portion of the suction tubular body being located within the driven shaft, the proximal portion of the suction tubular body being located outside the driven shaft and extending in a direction of separating from the driven shaft outward in a radial direction of the driven shaft.
