A method for manufacturing an electrolytic capacitor includes a first connection step, a second connection step, a first insertion step, a housing step, and a sealing step. In the first connection step, a first internal lead having a foil shape is connected to a first electrode foil. In the second connection step, after the first connection step, a first external lead having a rod shape is connected to the first internal lead to obtain the first electrode. In the first insertion step, the first external lead is inserted into an insertion port of a sealing plate after the second connection step. In the housing step, the first electrode is housed in a container after the first insertion step. In the sealing step, an opening of the container is closed with the sealing plate after the housing step.

Electrolytic capacitor and method for producing same

An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, a liquid component, a case housing the capacitor element and the liquid component, and a sealing member sealing the case. the capacitor element includes a porous sintered body including a dielectric layer, a cathode foil facing at least a part of the porous sintered body, and a conductive polymer covering at least a part of a surface of the dielectric layer. The conductive polymer is in contact with the cathode foil. And a void in the capacitor element is impregnated with the liquid component.

Disclosed is an electrolytic capacitor including: a capacitor element including a pair of electrodes; an electrolyte interposed between the pair of electrodes; a pair of leads electrically connected to the pair of electrodes, respectively; a case in which the capacitor element and the electrolyte are accommodated, and that has an opening; a sealing member that seals the opening, and has a pair of insertion holes for leading out the leads; an insulating plate having a pair of through holes for leading out the leads; and a resin member filled between the sealing member and the insulating plate, wherein the insulating plate has a resin bonding surface that abuts against the resin member, and a mounting surface opposed to the resin bonding surface, and includes at least one protrusion or recess on the resin bonding surface.

The elastic member contains an elastic polymer and a hindered phenol compound. The hindered phenol compound having a phenol skeleton includes a first hindered group and a second hindered group. The first hindered group is bonded to a first substitution site of the phenol skeleton, and the second hindered group is bonded to a second substitution site of the phenol skeleton. Each of the first substitution site and second substitution site is adjacent to a substitution site of the phenol skeleton to which a phenolic hydroxy group is bonded. One of one or more tertiary carbon atoms in the first hindered group and one of one or more tertiary carbon atoms in the second hindered group are bonded to the first substitution site and the second substitution site, respectively.
