An electric work machine can be compact. An electric work machine includes a motor, a tool holder rotatable with a rotational force generated by the motor, a substrate, a first light emitter including a first light-emitting element on a front surface of the substrate, and a second light emitter including a second light-emitting element on a back surface of the substrate.

An electric tool, such as an angle driver, has a main tool body with a front portion and a rear portion positioned opposite to the front portion. The main tool body houses a motor configured to receive electricity to function as a drive source. A gear head is coupled with the front portion of the main tool body wherein the gear head has a spindle in communication with a motor axis of the motor via mesh-engagement of bevel gears associated with the motor axis. The spindle has with a cutter tool accessory attached thereto such that rotation of the motor axis produces a commensurate rotation of the cutter tool accessory. Battery attachment portions are associated with the rear portion of the main tool body and are configured to receive a corresponding set of batteries that provide electricity to power the motor.

A spindle lock device includes an engaging ring fixed in position relative to a body case of an impact screwdriver. A flat relief surface is definable on an outer circumference of the anvil that can be disposed inside of the engaging ring. An engaging member can be disposed between the engaging ring and the flat surface of the anvil. The engaging member can wedge between the engaging ring and an end portion in the circumferential direction of the relief surface of the anvil, so that the anvil is locked with respect to rotation relative to the body case.
