There is provided a manufacturing method for a composite body of a continuous sheet associated with an absorbent article, the composite body being manufactured by attaching a single-cut sheet to the continuous sheet at a predetermined attachment pitch. The method includes: holding the single-cut sheet by a holding section in surface-to-surface contact, the holding section moving along a path; weakening a holding force by which the single-cut sheet is held; exerting a suction force on the single-cut sheet through the continuous sheet, the suction force causing the single-cut sheet to be sucked toward the continuous sheet; and when the holding section passes a delivery position set on the path, separating the single-cut sheet from the holding section, and delivering the single-cut sheet to the continuous sheet by attaching the single-cut sheet to the continuous sheet without pinching the single-cut sheet between the holding section and the continuous sheet due to the weakening and the exerting, the continuous sheet being running through a neighboring position near the delivery position.

Manufacturing method and apparatus for composite body of continuous sheet associated with absorbent article and manufacturing method for absorbent article

An inspecting apparatus is provided which inspects whether or not a liquid absorbent particulate is deposited with a predetermined deposition pattern on an absorbent sheet-like member, the absorbent sheet-like member having a continuous web and a plurality of absorbent bodies, the continuous web being transported along a transport direction, the absorbent bodies being formed on one surface of the continuous web in a spaced apart manner in the transport direction, each absorbent body including the liquid absorbent particulate as a main material. The inspecting apparatus includes: an imaging process section which is adapted to image, from one side of a surface of the absorbent sheet-like member, a region on the absorbent sheet-like member where the absorbent body is expected to exist, and that is adapted to produce data relating to a planar image of the region as planar image data of the absorbent body; an extracting process section which is adapted to extract a proper quantity region from the planar image by performing a binarization process on the produced planar image data based on a threshold value, the proper quantity region being an imaged region in which the liquid absorbent particulate is of a specified amount or more; and a pass/fail determination process section that is adapted to perform a pass/fail determination process based on a value indicating a size of the proper quantity region.

Inspecting apparatus and inspecting method of absorbent sheet-like member related to absorbent article

This distributing device for absorbent articles is provided with a main conveyor path, a branch conveyor path that branches from the main conveyor path, a main conveyor path that conveys absorbent articles along the main conveyor path, a diverting mechanism that diverts absorbent articles in the main conveyor path from the main conveyor path to the branch conveyor path, and a branch conveyor mechanism that conveys the absorbent articles diverted by the diverting mechanism along the branch conveyor path. The diverting mechanism is provided with a diverting part for diverting the absorbent articles. The diverting part moves without stopping, entering the main conveyor path from a standby position outside the main conveyor path and then, after leaving the main conveyor path, returning to the standby position.
