The connector includes a male connector block and a female connector block. The male connector block includes a base substrate formed of an insulating flat member; a conductive projection arranged on one surface of the base substrate; a first circuit pattern led out from the conductive projection; and a soldering terminal section electrically connected to the conductive projection through the first circuit pattern. The female connector block includes: an insulating film having a fitting insertion section; a conductive section formed on one surface of the insulating film and electrically connected to the conductive projection inserted into the fitting insertion section; a second circuit pattern led out from the conductive section; a soldering terminal section electrically connected to the conductive section through the second circuit pattern; and a second base substrate making close contact with the other surface of the insulating film.

Male connector block, female connector block, and connector

On a front surface (one of opposite surfaces)of a male-side connector, first guide projectionsare provided, which have a projection height that is higher than columnar bumps (male-type terminal portions). and on a back surface (other of the opposite surfaces)of a female-side connector, hole portionsare provided, which have a size allowing slight movement of the first guide projections, wherein the columnar bumpsand the cross-like slits (female-type terminal portions)are positioned with each other by the first guide projectionsbeing inserted through the hole portions

Connector assembly and male-side connector

A female circuit board for use with a male circuit board has electrically conductive projections. The female circuit board includes a flexible insulating film. The flexible insulating film includes insertion portions into which the conductive projections of the male circuit board are allowed to be inserted. Each of the insertion portions includes a plurality of slits communicating with each other at the center of each of the insertion portions. The flexible insulating film further includes electrically conduction portions for making contact with the conductive projections to come into conduction with the male circuit board. The conduction portions are disposed around the insertion portions on the surface of the female circuit board facing the male circuit board when the female circuit board is in contact with the male circuit board. The conduction portions conform in shape to the insertion portions.
