A secondary-battery electrode manufacturing method that allows a secondary-battery electrode including a neat linear cut portion to be stably manufactured at a high speed is provided. A method of manufacturing a secondary-battery electrode (), which is an example of an embodiment, comprises a first step of forming an active material layer () on at least one surface of a long core body (). The method of manufacturing the secondary-battery electrode (), which is an example of the embodiment also comprises a second step of cutting an electrode precursor () into a predetermined shape by using a continuous wave laser, the electrode precursor () being the long core body () having the active material layer () formed thereon.

An object is to provide a secondary-battery electrode that is capable of suppressing a short circuit between adjacent positive and negative electrodes when the secondary-battery electrode is applied to an electrode body of a secondary battery. A secondary-battery electrode () includes a thin-plate-shaped metal core body () and an active material layer () containing an active material and formed on two surfaces of the core body (). In a cut end portion () of the electrode, an end portion () of the core body () is positioned inward of an end portion () of the active material layer () in a surface direction Y of the electrode.

An all-solid-state battery includes a positive-electrode current collector, a positive electrode layer, a negative-electrode current collector, a negative electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer. The positive electrode layer is formed on the positive-electrode current collector and includes at least a positive-electrode active material. The negative electrode layer is formed on the negative-electrode current collector and includes at least a negative-electrode active material. The solid electrolyte layer is disposed between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer and includes at least a solid electrolyte having ion conductivity. At least one member selected from the group consisting of the positive-electrode current collector, the positive electrode layer, the negative-electrode current collector, the negative electrode layer, and the solid electrolyte layer includes a heated region at an end portion of the at least one member.
