The ink composition includes a pigment dispersion containing a surface-treated pigment and a resin emulsion, wherein the surface-treated pigment is obtained by binding a functional group, having a larger calcium index than a calcium index of 1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid, to the surface of a pigment; and the resin emulsion is adapted so that an aqueous solution containing 1 mass % of a solid content of the resin emulsion has a conductance of 300 &#x3bc;S/cm or less.

The present invention is proposed is an oil-based white ink composition for ink jet recording, comprising a white pigment, a glycol ether dialkyl ether compound solvent, a polymeric dispersant, and a specific acrylic resin. The white pigment is formed of titanium oxide fine particles having an average particle diameter of not less than 0.15 &#x3bc;m and not more than 0.25 &#x3bc;m and coated with at least one of aluminum oxide and silicon oxide. The white pigment is further coated with not less than 0.01% by mass and not more than 2.5% by mass of at least one of an SiH-containing polysiloxane and dimethylpolysiloxane.

Oil-based white ink jet recording composition and process for producing the same

An oil-based ink composition for inkjet recording capable of exhibiting desired properties of drying after print, rubfastness and re-solubility is achieved by performing solubilization on an acrylic resin which is not easily dissolved conventionally. Oil-based ink composition for ink jet recording and method for inspecting it

The object of the invention is to provide an oil ink set capable of obtaining images having high color reproduction capabilities and high color saturation in particular. The oil ink set of the invention comprises a firsts a second, and a third oil ink having a wavelength region in which the reflectivity of each oil ink on a recording medium changes from 80% to 5% in the wavelength range of 400 nm to 700 nm. In this wavelength region, the reflectivity of the first oil ink is continuously higher than that of the first oil ink, and in the wavelength in which the reflectivity of the second oil ink changes from 80% to 5%, the reflectivity of the third oil ink is continuously higher than that of the second oil ink. Moreover, the coloring materials in the first, the second and the third oil inks are all different.

Oil ink set

An oil-based ink composition for inkjet printers contains a fixing polymer and a solvent represented by the following formula (1): wherein X1 represents an alkyl group, X2 represents a hydrogen atom or alkyl group, and n stands for an integer of from 1 to 4. The fixing polymer is an acrylic polymer obtained by subjecting an acrylic monomer to solution polymerization with a radical polymerization initiator in the solvent. A production process of the oil-based ink composition is also disclosed.

Oil-based ink compositions for inkjet printers

An oil-based ink for piezoelectric inkjet printers contains a binder resin, a pigment and a solvent. The solvent contains a cyclic ester and a compound represented by the following formula (1): wherein Xrepresents an alkyl group, Xrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, and n stands for an integer of from 1 to 4. The amount of the cyclic ester is from 1 to 60 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the compound represented by the formula (1). Preferably, the cyclic ester is a compound represented by the following formula (2): wherein Xand Xeach independently represents a hydrogen atom or a Calkyl or alkenyl group, and m stands for an integer of from 1 to 3.

Oil-based inks for inkjet printers

An oil-based ink composition for ink jet recording of the present invention contains a colorant and at least 50% by weight of a mixed solvent made by mixing from 0.02 to 4 parts by weight of a lactone-type solvent with 1 part by weight of polyoxyethylene glycol dialkyl ether represented by the following general formula (1):R&#x2014;(OCH)&#x2014;OR&#x2003;&#x2003;General Formula (1)(wherein R, Rrepresent alkyl groups having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and can be the same or different, and n is an integer from 2 to 4). The oil-based ink composition can be suitably used for printing on a polyvinyl chloride substrate and is excellent in all of print quality, printing stability, dry characteristics of printed matter, and storage stability of ink.
