Reel seat for fishing rod

In a fishing rod having a reel seat on a rod pipe, the fishing rod has a finger trigger on the side which is opposite to the side where the reel seat is provided, in such a manner that the finger trigger is so positioned and configured as to allow an angler to cast the fishing line while palming the fishing rod and a reel mounted on the reel seat with one hand.

A fishing line guide has an attaching seat 2 attached to a fishing rod and a fishing line guide part 5 located above the attaching seat 2. The fishing line guide part 5 has width substantially equal to or smaller than the width of the attaching seat 2, inclined surfaces 6, 7 formed from front and rear end faces to front and rear parts of the attaching seat 2 and side faces formed in smoothly sloped surfaces. The fishing line guide part 5 is configured in a sloping form in section so that the circumferential length in each horizontal plane of the fishing line guide part 5 is smaller than the circumferential length in each horizontal plane taken closer to the axis of the fishing rod. Therefore, a fishing line twining on the fishing line guide part 5 can smoothly and easily loosen upward and thus, can be prevented from tangling on the fishing line guide.

Reel seat for a fishing rod

A handle for fishing rod extends on the tubular body 10 of the fishing rod, and includes a hand-held portion 16 corresponding to the exposed part 10P of the tubular body and having bridges extending off the exposed part along the side surfaces thereof. The handle is reduced in weight, it is easy for a fishing person to hold the handle by his hand, the hand holding the handle is less likely to slip thereon, and the person can feel the bite of a fish well.

A casting handle for a fishing rod includes a reel mount which has a reel leg placing section in the upper surface which is to place a reel leg in position to hold the reel, a lower surface curved in such a manner that it is lowered most at the middle in the direction of width and raised towards both side edges, and a sideward expanded portion which is formed by expanding horizontally the portion of the reel leg placing section which is substantially the rear half of the reel leg placing section. The rear end portions of the edge lines of the sideward expanded portion ar raised obliquely backwardly on one side of the reel mount which is opposite to the other side where a trigger is protruded. With the casting handle, the angler can hold the casting handle stable in the casting operation, and the fingers gripping the casting handle feel fitted on and comfortable with it during the palming operation.

A fishing rod is disclosed which comprises a handle securely fixed to one end of a fishing rod and provided with a fixed hood, a reel mounting portion and a cylindrical male screw in this order, an engagement grip threadedly engaged with the cylindrical male screw and movable therealong, a movable hood slidingly moved only in the axial direction of the handle and kept in contact with the engagement grip, and a cover cylinder attached onto the movable hood and surrounding an outer portion of the handle except for the reel mounting portion and the fixed hood.
