A boat control system includes an imager to image a user towed by a hull, an image processor to determine a predetermined state of the user from an image captured by the imager, and a controller configured or programmed to perform a control to adjust a thruster operable to change a propulsion state of the hull based on the predetermined state of the user determined by the image processor to change the propulsion state of the hull.

Boat control system and marine vessel

A vessel includes a vessel body, an engine, a propulsion device, a drive shaft, a partition wall, a bearing, an elastic member, an outer housing, and a positioning member. The drive shaft transmits a driving force of the engine to the propulsion device, and the propulsion device generates a thrust by the driving force. The drive shaft is inserted into an insertion hole of the partition wall. The bearing rotatably supports the drive shaft. The elastic member supports the bearing. The outer housing supports the elastic member, and is fixed to the partition wall. The positioning member positions the elastic member with respect to the bearing and the outer housing by pressing the elastic member.

Vessel

A jet propulsion device includes an impeller housing, an impeller, a sleeve, a first ring-shaped elastic body, and a second ring-shaped elastic body. The first ring-shaped elastic body is disposed between the impeller housing and the sleeve, and is located between a first end and a middle of the sleeve in an axial direction of the sleeve. The second ring-shaped elastic body is disposed between the impeller housing and the sleeve, and is located between a second end and the middle of the sleeve in the axial direction of the sleeve.

Jet propulsion device

A water jet propulsion watercraft includes a main engine body, a rotor chamber disposed at a rear portion of the main engine body, a crankshaft disposed so as to extend penetratingly through the rotor chamber such that a rear end portion thereof protrudes to an outer side of the rotor chamber, a rotor unit coupled to the crankshaft inside the rotor chamber, a drive shaft connected to the rear end portion of the crankshaft and rotated together with the crankshaft, and a jet propulsion unit, having an impeller that is coupled to the drive shaft, and arranged to suck in and jet out water. The crankshaft includes a flange portion that is integral with the crankshaft inside the rotor chamber. The rotor unit is fixed to the flange portion.

Water jet propulsion watercraft

A speed control system for a small planing boat can comprise a speed sensor to detect a vessel speed of a boat body, a speed information storing unit on which data of a previously set maximum speed limit of the boat body is stored, and a speed control device for controlling the cruising speed of the boat body not to exceed the maximum speed limit based on a result of a correlation between the cruising speed and the maximum speed limit. The speed control device can comprise a revolution speed sensor, a revolution speed acquiring unit and a revolution speed control unit. The speed control device can also work in conjunction with an intake air mass amount control device which can include an electronically-controlled throttle valve, an air mass amount acquiring unit and a throttle opening degree control unit.

Vessel speed control system for small planing boat and small planing boat utilizing the same

A drive shaft supporting structure for a watercraft is provided that supports in a substantially watertight manner at least a portion of the driveshaft. The drive shaft extends from an engine, which is disposed within an inner section of a hull of the watercraft (e.g., an engine compartment), to a propulsion unit that is disposed outside the inner section of the hull. The driveshaft supporting structure includes a bearing part that is mounted on a peripheral surface of the driveshaft at a location within the inner section of the hull. An elastic part is mounted on a peripheral surface of the bearing part and a bearing part supporting section supports a press-fitted assembly of the elastic part and the bearing part. The bearing part supporting section is attached to a wall of the hull (e.g., a duct wall) at a location where the driveshaft extends from the inner section of the hull.

Drive shaft supporting structure for jet propulsion watercraft

A watercraft includes an improved engine control system that enhances the responsiveness of the watercraft and eases watercraft operation. The watercraft includes a propulsion device, such as a jet propulsion unit, and an engine that powers the propulsion device. The engine control system is configured to maintain or increase engine speed under certain operating conditions.

Engine output control for watercraft

A small watercraft includes an engine and an improved induction and charging forming system. The engine includes a fuel injection system with at least one fuel injector and a fuel delivery conduit for supplying fuel to the at least one fuel injector. The induction system includes an intake box configured to protect the at least one fuel injector and the fuel delivery conduit from damage that can be caused by heat generated from a portion of an exhaust system and/or water that may collect in a hull of the watercraft. The induction system can also include a set of throttle bodies. Each throttle body includes a throttle valve. The throttle valves are connected to a throttle shaft assembly. A pulley is attached to the throttle shaft assembly and is disposed between adjacent throttle bodies.

Induction system for personal watercraft

A two-cycle, multi-cylinder engine maintains roughly equal temperatures between cylinders, despite differing exhaust efficiencies between the cylinders. Several ways of reducing the temperature of one of the cylinders in comparison to the other are disclosed. One embodiment involves supplying more coolant to the cooling passages around the hotter running cylinder. Other ways involve reducing the compression ratio or retarding ignition timing in the hotter running cylinder in comparison to the other cylinder.

Marine engine

An intake control mechanism for controlling the flow of air through an air intake of an engine is disclosed. The air intake comprises an intake member defining an intake passage corresponding to each combustion chamber of the engine. A throttle valve and a choke valve are movable positioned in each passage. The intake control mechanism includes a choke control and throttle control for moving the choke and throttle valves, respectfully. The choke control includes a choke linkage and the throttle control includes a throttle linkage, the linkages positioned outside of the intake member and between the choke and throttle valves. Preferably, the choke linkage is positioned between the throttle linkage and the intake member.

Intake control mechanism for marine propulsion unit

An improved fuel supply system for a watercraft engine eases the setting of fuel supply pressure in each of the carburetors of the engine. The fuel supply system includes a fuel supply line which supplies fuel to a plurality of feed branches of the fuel circuit which are arranged in parallel. Each branch communicates with one of the carburetors. The branches have equal lengths such that the flow resistance within each branch is generally the same between the branches. The fuel supply system also includes a fuel return line which communicates with a plurality of return branches of the fuel circuit. The return branches are arranged in parallel, with each return branch communicating with one of the carburetors. The return branches also have equal lengths and are arranged to have like flow resistances. This structure of the fuel circuit between the carburetors tends to isolate the carburetors from one another such that the fuel pressure in one carburetor does not affect the fuel pressure in the other carburetors. As a result, setting the fuel supply pressure of each carburetor is eased in comparison to prior fuel circuits where the carburetors are arranged in series within the fuel circuit.

Fuel supply system for watercraft

An induction system for a marine propulsion engine wherein the induction system has a flow-controlling valve. A lubricant supply system is provided for delivering lubricant to the induction system upstream of the valve and toward the sliding support surfaces of the valve so as to reduce the likelihood of corrosion, particularly if the fuel supply washes the flow-controlling valve of lubricant during engine running.

Induction system lubricant system for two-cycle engines

An improved reed valve arrangement for a two cycle engine wherein in addition to the normal reed valve elements and stopper plates, there are provided rectifier plates that define a flow passage so as to direct the charge away from the walls of the engine that define the associated intake passage.
