There is provided a room temperature curable polyorganosiloxane composition comprised of (A) a silanol-terminated polydiorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 500 to 200,000 centistokes at 25.degree. C. in combination with (B) an oxime radical-methoxyl radical exchange reaction product, and a catalyst for promoting the reaction of (A) and (B).

Room temperature curable polyorganosiloxane composition and method

A storage-stable, room-temperature-curing polysiloxane composition comprising polydiorganosiloxane having silanol terminal radicals and from 0.5 to 25 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of said polydiorganosiloxane, of a curing agent containing from 1.5 to 100 wt. % of silane having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.3 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radical, Q is alkylene or alkylidene, R.sup.4 is ##STR2## wherein R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radicals, R.sup.5 is hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radical, n is 1 or 2, a is 0 or 1 and b is 1, 2, 3 or 4, and the balance of the curing agent is tri-acyloxysilane.

Room temperature curing polysiloxane compositions

A room temperature curable polyorganosiloxane composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a silanol-terminated polydiorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 500 to 200,000 cSt measured at 25.degree. C., (B) 0.5 to 25 parts by weight of an acetoxy group-containing organic silicon compound selected from the group consisting of acetoxy group-containing silanes represented by the following formula and partially hydrolyzed products thereof: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 stands for a monovalent substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, R.sup.2 is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and alkoxyalkyl groups, a is a number of 0 or 1, and b is a number of 0 or 1, and (C) 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of the reaction product of the reaction between (1) an aminoalkyl group-containing organic silicon compound selected from the group consisting of aminoalkyl group-containing silanes represented by the following formula and partially hydrolyzed products thereof: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 stands for a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, R.sup.4 stands for a divalent hydrocarbon group, R.sup.5 stands for a monovalent substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, R.sup.6 is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and alkoxyalkyl groups, and c is a number of 0 or 1, and (2) an anhydride of a polybasic acid.
