A cartridge adapter includes: a cartridge holder having a space that can accommodate therein a drug cartridge, the drug cartridge including a cylinder having a tubular internal space extending in a longitudinal direction, a gasket supported in the internal space so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction, and a drug held in the internal space; a piston that moves the gasket in the longitudinal direction in the internal space of the cylinder; a piston guide that movably supports the piston and connected to the cartridge holder; and a piston driving mechanism that drives the piston in the longitudinal direction.

To achieve this object, a pharmaceutical injection device may comprise a main case, a piston, a drive motor, a buzzer, and a controller. The main case has a cartridge holder. The piston is inserted into a pharmaceutical cartridge mounted to the cartridge holder. The drive motor drives the piston. The buzzer emits a sound that tells the user to shake the pharmaceutical cartridge to mix or dissolve its contents. Before activating the drive motor and injecting the pharmaceutical, the control unit controls the buzzer so that a sound is emitted at specific intervals to prompt shaking.

When a track error signal is subjected to adjustment, it is previously detected in a signal amplitude detecting circuit whether an optical pickup is located in an area where a required track on an optical disk medium exists or not, and a micro processing unit executes the procedure which uses only the necessary but minimum moving time, even when the optical pickup is required to be moved.
