A very practical table apparatus is provided that can be made smaller and thinner without the need to stack a first table that moves in a first direction and a second table that moves in a second direction as in prior art. The table apparatus has a table () on which work is disposed, a first actuator () for moving the table () in the first direction a, and a second actuator () that is disposed on substantially the same plane as the first actuator, and that moves the table () in the second direction b, thereby allowing a single table () to be moved in the first direction a and second direction b without the need to stack two tables.

To provide a method for mounting an outer sleeve onto a housing at low cost and with high precision in a linear sliding apparatus. The linear sliding apparatus has a shaft, and the outer sleeve is fitted around the shaft and slidable in a linear manner relative to the shaft. The method includes the steps of: engaging an outer circumference of the outer sleeve with a stationary member; and fixing the stationary member to the housing by a fastening member, thereby mounting the outer sleeve on the housing.

Method for mounting a linear sliding device

Ball bearing for rectilinear sliding

A ball bearing for rectilinear sliding, in which balls can be easily placed. The ball bearing includes a slide guide member which is slidably fitted onto a raceway track base and which has a slide member. A ball retaining material retains one side portion of the balls placed in load ball grooves of an inner surface of the slide member, and ball retaining flexible materials are provided on the inner surface of the wing portions of the slide member while another side portion of the balls is being retained. Thus, the balls placed in the load ball grooves are retained by the ball retaining material and the ball retaining flexible materials.
