Two embodiments of very simple by highly effective antitheft devices for use in small vehicles such as motor scooters, personal watercraft or other forms of watercraft. Each system employs a removable component which also functions as a display and which disables the operation of the prime mover of the vehicle. The removed component can be carried by the user and reinserted when he desires to again operate the vehicle.

Antitheft device for vehicles

An improved meter display device and control device for a saddle type vehicle such as a motor scooter. The display is mounted in the handlebar cover and in addition to the mounting the display, certain engine control parts are also mounted in the same housing so as to make a neater installation and simplify the overall construction.

Control device for saddle type vehicle

An improved instrument display for a saddle type vehicle wherein the display is mounted in a recess in the handlebar cover in an adjustable manner to be effectively viewed by riders of widely varying stature. Two embodiments of adjustment mechanisms are disclosed.
