A flexible wiring board includes an insulating board, a ground layer, and at least one first lightning arrester electrically connected to the ground layer. The first lightning arrester extends from the ground layer to a contour end of the insulating board positioned near a connection area. The first lightning arrester is configured so that one end is positioned at the contour end of the insulating board near the connection area.

Touch sensor

A press-type input device includes a first pressing member, a second pressing member, a base, and a holding member. The first pressing member has a pressure receiving surface and a first axis and is tiltable around the first axis. The second pressing member has a second axis and is tiltable around the second axis. The base includes a detection unit configured to detect a tilt of the second pressing member. The holding member is configured to hold, together with the base, the first pressing member and the second pressing member. A location of at least one of the first axis or the second axis is variable in accordance with a pushed location on the pressure receiving surface. When viewed in a direction vertical to the pressure receiving surface, the second axis and the detection unit do not overlap each other.

Press-type input device and press-rotate-type input device

A portable electronic device includes: a display unit; and a touch panel which is disposed to overlap the display unit and which is able to detect a distance from an input object. If brightness of the display unit is first brightness, if there is no operation on the touch panel for a predetermined time, and if the distance is greater than a predetermined distance, the brightness of the display unit changes to second brightness darker than the first brightness. If the brightness of the display unit is the first brightness, if there is no operation on the touch panel for the predetermined time, and if the distance is equal to or smaller than the predetermined distance, the brightness of the display unit is set to third brightness brighter than at least the second brightness.

A portable electronic apparatus includes a housing having a first face and first and second side faces, the first and second side faces rising from the first face, and at least a concave portion is configured by the first side face, the first face and the second side face; a display, at least a part of the display being accommodated in the concave portion; a touch panel that is positioned on the display and is capable of detecting at least a distance to an indicator; first and second sheet metal members respectively disposed on the first and second side faces, at least a part of the first and second sheet metal members facing a side face of the display; a third sheet metal member disposed on the first face; and a cover glass that covers at least the display, the first sheet metal member, and the second sheet metal member.

Portable electronic apparatus

The electronic device has a display section with a display surface; and a touch panel that is provided while being superimposed on the display section and that can detect an area occupied by an indicator in which the occupied area is on a predetermined plane which is approximately parallel to and spaced apart by a predetermined distance from the display surface of the display section. When flattening of the area occupied by the indicator is smaller than a threshold value in which the occupied area is on the predetermined plane spaced apart from the display surface of the display section by a predetermined distance, coordinates of the center of the area are made valid. When the flattening is greater than the threshold value, the coordinates of the center of the area are made invalid.

Electronic device and method for determining coordinates

An imaging device includes: an imaging portion; a memory capable of storing images imaged by the imaging portion; a display portion; and a touch panel arranged to overlap with the display portion and capable of detecting a distance to an indicator. When the distance is equal to or less than a first distance and more than a second distance less than the first distance, the memory stores the images at predetermined time intervals. Then, when the distance becomes equal to or less than the second distance and equal to or more than 0, the display portion displays the image that is stored in the memory before the distance becomes equal to or less than the second distance and equal to or more than 0.

Imaging device

A touch panel includes a first sensor panel including at least one receiving electrode, a second sensor panel including at least one transmission electrode, and overlaid on the first sensor panel, and a third sensor panel including a predetermined electrode at least a part of which overlaps with the one transmission electrode, and overlaid on the second sensor panel. A transmission signal identical to that for the one transmission electrode can be applied on the predetermined electrode.

An electronic device includes a display device; a touch panel overlaid on the display device and including at least a predetermined side; a conductive member provided along the predetermined side; and a variable resistor having one end which is electrically connected to the conductive member and another end which is electrically connected to a predetermined potential. A resistance of the variable resistor is switchable.

A portable electronic device includes a touch panel and a vibration unit. The touch panel being capable of detecting at least a distance between a pointer and the touch panel when the pointer is not in contact with the touch panel. The vibration unit vibrates when the distance between the pointer and the touch panel is not larger than a first distance and then reaches a second distance or more.

An electronic device includes a touch panel. The touch panel includes a first sensor panel including at least one receiving electrode; a second sensor panel including at least one transmission electrode, and overlaid on the first sensor panel; and a third sensor panel including a predetermined electrode at least a part of which overlaps the one transmission electrode, and overlaid on the second sensor panel. When a predetermined condition is detected in a state that a transmission signal identical to that for the one transmission electrode is applied on the predetermined electrode, application of the transmission signal identical to that for the one transmission electrode onto the predetermined electrode is stopped.

A portable electronic apparatus includes a housing having a first face and first and second side faces rising from the first face, a display unit having a first side and a second side, a touch panel disposed so as to be stacked on the display unit and being capable of detecting a distance to an indicator using an electric field, first and second conductive members respectively disposed at end parts of the display unit along the first side and the second side, and third and fourth conductive members disposed along a bottom face of the display unit and electrically connected to the first and second conductive members respectively. The display unit and the third and fourth conductive members are accommodated in a concave part configured by the first side face, the first face and the second side face.

A touch panel device includes: an electrostatic capacitance touch panel of mutual capacitance type which includes transmission-side electrodes and reception-side electrodes; a detecting unit which detects a contact with the electrostatic touch panel and outputs contact information; and a detection signal variation calculating unit which calculates and outputs detection signal variations of the transmission-side electrodes and the reception-side electrodes based on the contact information. The touch panel device further includes: a variation distribution calculating unit which calculates and outputs a variation distribution of the detection signals based on the detection signal variations; and a determining unit which determines that an object contacting the electrostatic touch panel is a drop of water when a peak value of the variation distribution of the detection signals is a predetermined negative threshold or less.

Touch panel device detecting water

A wireless communication apparatus capable of shortening the handover time and preventing the connection from being interrupted during telephone communication. In this apparatus, an HO part (), when detecting an access point, outputs an handover control signal for performing a handover that is a process of switching from a communication using a third generation mobile communication system to a communication using a WLAN. A positional information acquiring part () receives a GPS signal transmitted from a GPS satellite and generates GPS information indicative of the position of the local apparatus. When the GPS information shows that the local apparatus approaches the area of the WLAN by a predetermined distance, a period deciding part () decides that the period be shorter than when the local apparatus is at the predetermined distance away from the area of the WLAN. When the local apparatus approaches the area of the WLAN by the predetermined distance, an AP detection period control part () controls the operation of access point detection to be performed in the period shorter than when the local apparatus is at the predetermined distance away from the area of the WLAN.

Wireless communication apparatus and handover method

In a multimode communication apparatus that uses a plurality of wireless communication modes, interference between communications under different wireless communication modes is suppressed, a good transmission/reception state in each of the wireless communication modes is ensured. A multimode communication apparatus () includes transmitter sections (), () and receiver sections (), () and a plurality of communication units (), () each being compatible with the wireless communication modes independently of one another. The communication unit () includes a variable channel band elimination filter () for suppressing, among transmission signals from its own transmitter section (), a band corresponding to a frequency band of a reception channel that is being received by the receiver section () of the other communication unit (). The variable channel band elimination filter () is capable of varying the band that is to be suppressed, in response to a change of the frequency band of the reception channel.
