There is provided wheel speed detection means for detecting a wheel speed V based on a pulse signal corresponding to a rotational speed of a wheel, driving torque integration means calculates an integral value Tdt of driving torque Tgenerated by the engine, and running situation determination means determines a vehicle running situation based on an actual wheel speed V and the integral value Tdt of the driving torque T. That is, the running situation determination means appropriately determines the vehicle running situation by comparing the actual wheel speed V which varies according to the vehicle running situation, and the function f (Tdt) even when the actual wheel speed is in the extremely low speed region. Wheel speed sensors arranged at each of driving wheels and idler wheels detect rotational speeds of corresponding wheels. This system further comprises a coupling case, a shaft, a rotor, and X-ring and an O-ring isolating a coupling oil chamber, in which the pilot clutch and the main clutch are arranged, liquid-tight from the surrounding space.

Driving force transmission system

A driving force control apparatus of a motor vehicle including a first set of drive wheels and a second set of drive wheels, e.g., front wheels and rear wheels, which are driven with respective driving forces that are controlled independently of each other. The control apparatus calculates an actual slip rate difference between a slip rate of the first set of drive wheels and that of the second set of drive wheels, and controls distribution of driving force between the first set of wheels and the second set of wheels, based on the slip rate difference.

A driving force transmission system comprising: a coupling case and a shaft arranged rotatably relative to each other; a pilot clutch and a main clutch for controlling a torque transmission between the coupling case and the shaft; an electromagnet for controlling the actions of the pilot clutch and the main clutch; and oil for retaining the functions of the pilot clutch and the main clutch.
