Metal magnetic particle, inductor, method for manufacturing metal magnetic particle, and method for manufacturing metal magnetic core

A metal magnetic particle provided with an oxide layer on a surface of an alloy particle containing Fe and Si. The oxide layer has a first oxide layer, a second oxide layer, and a third oxide layer from a side of the alloy particle. All of the first oxide layer, the second oxide layer, and the third oxide layer contain Si. Also, in line analysis of element content by using a scanning transmission electron microscope-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, the first oxide layer is a layer having Fe content smaller than Si content in the alloy particle, the second oxide layer is a layer having Fe content larger than the Si content in the alloy particle, and the third oxide layer is a layer having Fe content smaller than the Si content in the alloy particle.

Coil component and manufacturing method of same

A magnetic material is formed of an aggregate of magnetic particles. When a magnetic particle is rotated by 360/n degrees (n is an any integer equal to or greater than 6) around a gravity center position of the magnetic particle in a planar region, an area of the magnetic particle after the rotation overlaps with an area of the magnetic particle before the rotation by 90% or more. In the planar region, gravity center positions of from nine to eleven magnetic particles are on a band portion in a rectangular shape. For the magnetic particles in the planar region, when a number-based 50% cumulative frequency distribution of maximum lengths in a direction passing through respective gravity center positions is defined as α, a 10% cumulative frequency distribution is equal to or greater than 0.6α, and a 90% cumulative frequency distribution is equal to or less than 1.4α.

Magnetic material and inductor

A magnetic material includes magnetic particles. When a magnetic particle is rotated by 360/n degrees (n is an any integer equal to or greater than 2) around a gravity center position of the particle in a planar region, an area of the particle after the rotation overlaps with an area of the particle before the rotation by 90% or more. In the planar region, gravity center positions of from nine to eleven particles are present on a band portion in a rectangular shape. For the particles in the planar region, when a number-based 50% cumulative frequency distribution of maximum lengths in a direction passing through respective gravity center positions is defined as α, a 10% cumulative frequency distribution is equal to or greater than 0.9α, and a 90% cumulative frequency distribution is equal to or less than 1.1α. A surface of the particle is covered with an insulating film.

A magnetic composite contains metal magnetic particles and a resin. The metal magnetic particles contain at least one Fe-containing crystalline material, and [Formula 1]Bs×α×{log(γ×1/D+δ×Bs+ε)}{circumflex over ( )}β≥13T, where Bs and D are the saturation flux density in T and the median diameter of crystallites in μm, respectively, of the crystalline material, α=14.3, β=−0.67, γ=752, δ=512, and ε=−815.

Magnetic composite

A magnetic material and an inductor capable of attaining both higher magnetic permeability and improved DC superposition characteristics. A composite magnetic material contains metal magnetic particles, in which the metal magnetic particles include first particles having a median diameter Dof 1.3 μm or more and 5.0 μm or less (i.e., from 1.3 μm to 5.0 μm), and second particles having a median diameter Dlarger than the first particles. The first and second particles each include a core portion made of a metal magnetic material, and an insulating film provided on a surface of the core portion. The insulating film of the second particles has an average thickness of 40 nm or more and 100 nm or less (i.e., from 40 nm to 100 nm). The insulating film of the first particles has an average thickness smaller than that of the insulating film of the second particles.

Composite magnetic material and inductor using the same

A magnetic material and an inductor capable of attaining both higher magnetic permeability and improved DC superposition characteristics. A composite magnetic material contains metal magnetic particles, in which the metal magnetic particles include first particles having a median diameter Dof 1.3 &#x3bc;m or more and 5.0 &#x3bc;m or less (i.e., from 1.3 &#x3bc;m to 5.0 &#x3bc;m), and second particles having a median diameter Dlarger than the first particles. The first and second particles each include a core portion made of a metal magnetic material, and an insulating film provided on a surface of the core portion. The insulating film of the second particles has an average thickness of 40 nm or more and 100 nm or less (i.e., from 40 nm to 100 nm). The insulating film of the first particles has an average thickness smaller than that of the insulating film of the second particles.

A coil component includes a body, a coil conductor embedded in the body, and outer electrodes disposed on the outside of the body. The body includes a first magnetic layer containing a substantially spherical metallic magnetic material and second and third layers containing a substantially flat metallic magnetic material. At least the wound section of the coil conductor is between the second and third magnetic layers in the direction along the axis of the coil conductor. In the direction perpendicular to the axis, the second and third magnetic layers have a width equal to or larger than the outer diameter of the wound section of the coil component. The substantially flat metallic magnetic material is oriented so that the flat plane thereof is perpendicular to the axis of the coil conductor. The first magnetic layer extends between the second and third magnetic layers and the outer electrodes.

Coil component

A composite magnetic material is provided that includes a resin and first magnetic particles provided inside the resin. Each of the first magnetic particles includes a first core comprising a metal magnetic material, and an insulating film that covers the first core. The first core has a substantially flat shape having a short axis and a long axis. A thickness of the insulating film in the long axis direction of the first core is smaller than a thickness of the insulating film in the short axis direction of the first core. In addition, a coil component is provided that includes the composite magnetic material in an element body of the coil component.

Composite magnetic material and coil component using same

An electronic component includes a multilayer body having a configuration, in which a plurality of insulator layers containing ferrite ceramic are stacked, and a coil having a configuration, in which a plurality of coil conductor layers containing Ag and being disposed on the insulator layers are connected to at least one via hole conductor penetrating the insulator layers in the stacking direction, and having a spiral shape spiraling in the stacking direction. A first pore area ratio of a side gap interposed between an outer circumferential edge of an annular track formed by stacking the plurality of coil conductor layers and an outer edge of the multilayer body, when viewed in the stacking direction, is 9.0% or more and 20.0% or less, and the second pore area ratio of a portion interposed between two coil conductor layers in the stacking direction is 8.0% or less.

Electronic component and method for manufacturing the same

A laminated coil component has an element body formed by laminating a plurality of ceramic layers, and a coil conductor disposed inside the element body. The coil conductor has coil pattern portions disposed on the plurality of the ceramic layers and including line portions and land portions disposed at ends of the line portions, and pattern connecting portions connecting the land portion to each other between the coil pattern portions arranged adjacently in a laminating direction of the ceramic layers. The land portions overlap with the line portions located on the opposite side of the pattern connecting portions in the laminating direction when viewed in the laminating direction such that the centers of the land portions do not overlap with the line portions located on the opposite side of the pattern connecting portions in the laminating direction when viewed in the laminating direction.
