A foldable electronic device includes a first body having a display and a screen for protecting the display, and a second body having a plurality of operation keys. The first and second are rotatable to each other through a hinge. The first and second bodies have first and second surfaces facing each other when the electronic device is folded. The operation keys project by a height from the second surface, and the first body is formed a recess at the first surface, the recess having a depth equal to or greater than the height. The second body has a projection projecting from the second surface. The first body has an elastic piece through which the screen is mounted on the first body such that the screen moves in the recess in a depth-wise direction of the recess. The projection pushes the screen when the electronic device is folded, thereby the elastic piece being compressed, and the elastic piece pushes the screen back when the electronic device is unfolded.

A mobile communications equipment realizes data input with both hands, and an operation style of a small personal computer although it is a mobile phone in size. A first device unit includes a main unit loaded with a display unit for displaying various information. Each of a second device unit and a third device unit has input buttons for various operations. The first device unit has a connection unit for rotatably connecting the second device unit and the third device unit to the first device unit. The second device unit and the third device unit are connected to the first device unit at one point such that they can be expanded on both sides of the first device unit by depressing the button of an operation unit of the connection unit.

A portable radio device permits the user to use contents on the Internet with a sufficiently large display screen size without impairing the portability of its own. The portable radio device has a lid, a lower device portion, and an upper device portion. The lid is angularly movably mounted on the lower device portion by a joint, and can be folded over the lower device portion. The upper device portion is angularly connected to the lower device portion by a hinge, and can be folded over the lower device portion and the lid which has been folded over the lower device portion. The lid has a concave reflecting mirror disposed on the reverse side thereof. The lower device portion includes a projection display device disposed on a surface thereof for projecting an image onto the concave reflecting mirror when the lid is opened. Light rays of the displayed image are projected from the projection display device and reflected by the concave reflecting mirror and recognized as representing an enlarged image by the user.

Portable radio device

A wireless apparatus having a foldable structure allowing improved antenna condition when opened with improved convenience is disclosed. A first housing and a second housing coupled by a hinge are freely opened and closed around the hinge. An antenna section for use in wireless communication is coupled to the first and second housings by the hinge such that the antenna section is situated at back of the second housing and is freely opened and closed around the hinge with respect to the second housing. A spring force is applied to the antenna section to rotate it in an opening direction. The antenna section is latched by an antenna latch member to be kept in a closed state. When the first housing and the second housing are opened to a predetermined angle, the latch is released to open the antenna section away from the second housing.

Portable wireless apparatus

The invention provides a microphone unit mounting structure wherein the thickness of a body typically of a portable telephone set can be reduced without being restricted by the dimension of the sum of the height of a microphone and the thickness of a microphone connector and a printed circuit board. The microphone unit mounting structure includes a microphone connector electrically connected to the microphone, a microphone holder for holding the microphone together with the microphone connector thereon to form a microphone unit, and a printed circuit board. The microphone connector has a projecting portion projecting outwardly therefrom farther than an outer peripheral edge of the microphone and electrically connected to the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board has a microphone unit relief hole formed therein, and the microphone unit is held on the front case of the body member in such a state that part of the microphone unit is received in the microphone unit relief hole.

Microphone unit mounting structure

A portable radio device which effectively prevents the property of transmission of radio waves from being degraded due to the user's body, is disclosed. A housing of the portable radio device has a lower end portion shaped to protrude from the major surface of the housing and taper down towards the lower end of the housing. An antenna is provided within the lower end portion.

Upper casing and lower casing of a portable telephone body enclose a body inner cavity in which a printed circuit board is disposed. The printed circuit board has an upper surface thereof on which a speaker body is fixedly mounted by means of soldering. A head portion of the speaker body is fitted with a cap in which a net is secured. An elastic rib formed in the upper portion of the cap and having a triangular cross section is pressed against the upper casing to thereby block entrance of any moisture and dust through a sound aperture without necessity of any adhesive and double-faced adhesive tape. The blocking of entrance of moisture and dust by the utilization of deformation of an elastic material may be applied to electronic parts other than the acoustic parts.

Mounting structure of electronic parts

In a display panel structure, a display panel is interposed between a transparent member and a metal sealing member. The edge portions of the sealing member are cemented to edge portions of the transparent member by adhesive so that the display panel is air-tightly sealed from the outside. The sealing member is integrally formed with a lattice of outwardly raised ribs for adding rigidity to the sealing member.

A grip is used for a mechanical pencil including a shaft tip portion, a core guide, and a core. This grip is formed into a tube-shape. The grip includes a tip portion, a base portion, and a spacing portion. The tip portion has a tip and a through hole portion and is shaped into a conical-shape so that a diameter thereof is reduced towards the tip. The base portion has a predetermined inner diameter such that the shaft tip portion of the mechanical pencil is treed into the base portion. The spacing portion is formed inside the tip portion and houses the core guide and the core. The core is movable in and out of the tip portion via the through hole portion.

A button structure for an electronic apparatus includes buttons each facing a particular switch device arranged on a printed circuit board with the intermediary of a respective Belleville spring that snaps through when pressed. The button structure reduces an annoying click sound and minimizes a stroke required of each key top member to thereby promote easy operation. Key top members and a flat base with button bodies formed thereon are separable from each other in order to obviate wastes on a production line as far as possible while reducing cost. In addition, the button structure is easy to recycle.

Button structure for an electronic apparatus

In a portable electronic appliance, it includes a housing and a detecting apparatus. The detecting apparatus includes a shock detecting portion and a fixing portion. The shock detecting portion has at least one shock sensing portion which is damaged or deformed due to a shock stronger than or equal to a pre-selected strength. The housing of the case has a pair of ribs and a hole for holding an external switch button, formed therein. The external switch button is provided with an actuating section for actuating an internal press-switch button, an arm section capable of being elastically deformed to allow movement of the actuating section, and a supporting section which is sandwiched between the pair of ribs.

A hinge structure for a portable type electronic equipment connects a protection cover which protects a tablet type display and a substantially rectangular parallelepiped case which serves as an equipment main body with each other. This hinge structure includes a substantially cylindrical trunk portion, a pair of joint portions, a pair of first shaft projections, and two pairs of second shaft projections. The trunk portion has a predetermined length. The pair of joint portions are integrally formed on two ends of the trunk portion and project from said two ends of the trunk portion for a predetermined length in one direction perpendicular to an axis of the trunk portion so as to form a bracket together with the trunk portion. The pair of first shaft projections project from proximal-side end faces, near the trunk portion, of the pair of joint portions for a predetermined length outward in an axial direction of the trunk portion so as to fit in the protection cover. The two pairs of second shaft projections project from distal-side end faces of the pair of joint portions for a predetermined length in a direction parallel to the axis of the trunk portion so as to fit in the case.

Hinge structure for portable type electronic equipment

A case has a pair of ribs and a hole for holding an external switch button, formed therein. The external switch button is provided with an actuating section for actuating an internal press-button switch, an arm section capable of being elastically deformed to allow movement of the actuating section, and a supporting section which is sandwiched between the pair of ribs.
