An image recording apparatus records an image by adhering ink droplets ejected from a recording head to a long recording material. A solvent in the ink droplets is removed by a heating and drying section, and a transparent sheet material is laminated onto an image recording surface of the recording material by a laminating section. Subsequently, the recording material is cut into pieces by a first cutter along boundaries of recorded images, which boundaries extend in a transverse direction of the recording material. A piece having images recorded thereon is transferred to a conveyance belt, conveyed, cut for each of the images by a second cutter, and accumulated in a print accumulating section via a conveyance belt. A piece having a single image recorded thereon is conveyed on another conveyance belt and accumulated in the print accumulating section. Thus, processing time per image can be reduced.

Image recording apparatus

A photopolymerizable composition comprises at least one addition polymerizable compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond and at least one photopolymerization initiator represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 independently represent hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, hydroxyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted amino group with the proviso that R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 may form a non-metallic ring together with the carbon atoms bonded thereto; R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represents hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a heteroaromatic group, an acyl group, cyano group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, carboxyl group or a substituted alkenyl group with the proviso that R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 may form a non-metallic ring together with the carbon atoms bonded thereto; X represents O, S, NH or a nitrogen atom having a substituent; and G.sub.1 and G.sub.2 each represents hydrogen atom, cyano group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxycarbonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted acyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbonyl group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group or a fluorosulfonyl group with the proviso that G.sub.1 and G.sub.2 cannot simultaneously represent hydrogen atom and that G.sub.1 and G.sub.2 may form a non-metallic ring together with the carbon atoms bonded thereto. This composition provides light-sensitive layer of highly sensitive to light from a variety of light sources.

Photopolymerizable composition

A light-sensitive composition which comprises, (a) an ethylenically unsaturated addition polymerizable compound, (b) an alkaline water-soluble or swellable, and film-forming polymer, (c) a photopolymerization initiator, (d) a negative working diazo resin, and (e) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a higher fatty acid and a higher fatty acid amide which are solid at ordinary temperatures. The light-sensitive composition is hardly influenced by oxygen and is suitable for a presensitized plate from which a printing plate is to be prepared.

A photopolymerizable composition is provided containing a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a photopolymerization initiator, and if necessary, a linear organic high molecular weight polymer. The photopolymerization initiator comprises a combination of (a) an organic compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, each represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, and at least two of said R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 may combine to form a cyclic structure, with the proviso that at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 is an alkyl group, and wherein Z.sym. represents an alkali metal cation or a quaternary ammonium cation, and (b) an organic dye having no counter anion.

A photopolymerizable composition containing a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a photopolymerization initiator, and if necessary, a linear organic hibh molecular weight polymer. The photopolymerization initiator comprises a combination of (a) at least one organic boron compound anion salt of an organic cationic dye, andd (b) a compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein x represents a halogen atom; Y represents --CH.sub.3, --NH.sub.2, --NHR', --N(R').sub.2, or --OR' wherein R' represents an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group, or a substituted aryl group; and wherein R represents --CX.sub.3, an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group, a substituted aryl group, or a substituted alkenyl group.

A photopolymerizable composition comprises at least one polymerizable compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond therein and at least one photopolymerization initiator and optionally at least one linear organic high molecular weight polymer and characterized in that the photopolymerization initiator comprises a specific combination of two kinds of compounds, for instance, 2,4,6-tris(trichloromethyl)-s-triazine and compound (12) represented by the following formula: ##STR1## The photopolymerizable composition exhibits a high sensitivity to extremely wide range of actinic rays extending from ultraviolet light to visible light and is useful for manufacturing PS plates and photoresist layer for use in making print circuit-boards or the like.

A presensitized printing plate which has a photopolymerizing composition layer provided on at least one side of a support, with the photopolymerizing composition being constituted with (A) a polymer containing in its side chains groups represented by the following general formula (I) and carboxylic groups: ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.5 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogeno group, a carboxyl group, a sulfo group, a nitro group, a cyano group, and amido group, an amino group, or an unsubstituted or a substituted alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylamino, arylamino, alkylsulfonyl or arylsulfonyl group; and Z represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, --NH-- or --NR-- (R=alkyl)), (B) a monomer or an olygomer having at least two polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated double bonds, and (C) a photopolymerization initiator.
