Warm-up apparatus for fuel cell

At a time of starting a fuel cell when solenoids of control valves such as a check valve and a discharge valve are in a frozen state, hot air obtained by adiabatic compression at an air supply portion is divisionally supplied into a warm-up box through a warm-up valve. It is determined whether the discharge valve is opened by determining whether the discharge fuel gas pressure Pout is reduced below a predetermined pressure while the check valve is in an opened state. After confirming that the discharge valve has been opened, it is determined whether the check valve can be closed by determining whether the pressure near the fuel supply port of the fuel cell has risen above the predetermined pressure stored in the memory. The warm-up operation of the fuel cell can thereby be efficiently conducted and the fuel cell can be reliably started.

Start control device for fuel cell system

A back pressure control apparatus used in a fuel cell system, which can normally operate even when the system starts in a low-temperature environment. The valve has a simple structure realized at low cost. The valve comprises a pipe member which functions as a portion of an oxidizing gas passage and is arranged along an approximately horizontal direction, where a predetermined area of the inner surface of the pipe member is subjected to a hydrophilic process in advance; and a valve element which is provided in the pipe member and is rotatable around a shaft, where the shaft is arranged in a cross-sectional direction of the pipe member. The pipe member may be arranged along an approximately vertical direction. In this case, a predetermined area of the inner surface of the pipe member is subjected to a water repellent process.

Back pressure control apparatus for fuel Cell system

An input signal is input to a control portion and a control signal S is output. The control signal S is supplied to a motor and driving torque of the motor is transferred to a compressor. The cathode active material passes through a heat exchanger, a filter and a pressure sensor, and cathode active material is sent out. The cathode active material is taken into a fuel cell and reaction product S , S and S are discharged to generate electromotive force S . The reaction product S is discharged on the basis of a level of a control signal S by controlling pressure by a pressure regulating valve. When a level of the control signal S is reduced, after a predetermined period of time has passed, the level of control signal S starts to be reduced.
