A connector includes a contact in an elongated shape that is electrically conductive, and a housing that has an internal space is formed. The contact includes a contact portion, a connection portion, a fixing portion, and a protruding portion. The contact portion is to be electrically connected to an electrically conductive member when the contact is housed in the housing. The connection portion is electrically connected to a core wire of an electrical wire. The fixing portion is provided on a side opposite to the contact portion relative to the connection portion, and fixes a covering of the electrical wire. The protruding portion is provided on an end portion side of the fixing portion opposite to the connection portion so as to protrude. The protruding portion reduces the amount of movement of the contact inside the internal space of the housing.

Connector and connector device

A connector includes a contact connected to a member to be connected and brought into contact with a wire so as to electrically connect the member to be connected and the wire. The contact includes contact portions coming into contact with the wire when the wire moves in a perpendicular direction perpendicular to a wire extending direction in which the wire extends, and movement restriction members for restricting a movement of the wire on the contact in a state where the wire is in contact with the contact portions. The contact further includes a movement regulation member for regulating a movement of the wire in the perpendicular direction in the state where the wire is in contact with the contact portions.

Connector, contact used in connector, housing, wired housing, and method for manufacturing wired housing

A cable holding member includes a stopper member and a housing. The stopper member has an attachment surface for supporting a flat cable in a folded state. The housing has a mounting surface which is provided at an opening edge of a housing space for housing the stopper member and on which the flat cable is to be placed, and recesses into which protrusions of the flat cable placed on the mounting surface are to be fitted. The flat cable is placed on the mounting surface, and then, the stopper member is inserted into the housing space of the housing. In this way, the stopper member is attached to the housing with the flat cable being supported on the attachment surface.

Cable holding member, plug connector, connector device, flat cable, and method for assembling plug connector

The connector device of one embodiment of the present invention includes an electrical connection device and a receptacle connector. The cable holding member includes a supporting part and a wall part. The supporting part includes a supporting face for supporting a flat cable in a folded state. The wall part is provided to the supporting part so as to be on a side of the flat cable in a width direction of the flat cable supported on the supporting part. A groove for receiving a first protrusion of the flat cable is provided to an internal face of the wall part.

A socket (female connector) used for a connector assembly includes a film substrate constituted by a flexible thin board made of insulation material. The film substrate is provided with connection through holes adapted to be inserted therein connection posts of a header (male connector). Connection pads are formed on a first surface of the film substrate around respective connection through holes. The connection pads include a first pad and a second pad. The film substrate is provided on the first surface with a first patterned conductor connected to the first pad and a third patterned conductor connected to the second pad. The third patterned conductor is connected to a second patterned conductor formed on a second surface of the film substrate by means of a blind via that is formed by boring the film substrate from the second surface so as to reach the third patterned conductor.

Connector assembly and female connector used for the same

A film substrate with flexibility includes connection through holes and combining through holes into which connection posts and combining posts of the header are inserted, respectively. Each connection pad is formed around a corresponding connection through hole and adapted to be electrically connected to a corresponding connection post. Each combining pad is formed around a corresponding combining through hole and adapted to be electrically connected to a corresponding combining post. The film substrate includes slots each of which is formed to extend along a plane of the film substrate with a first end side thereof connected to a corresponding through hole. The film substrate includes pad-free parts with neither connection pad nor combining pad each of which is present at a second end side of a corresponding slot on the surface of the film substrate.
