A display device includes a display panel, a light source, and a heatsink. The display panel is disposed in a vertical position. The display panel includes a display surface on which an image is displayed. The light source illuminates the display panel and an object disposed behind the display panel. The heatsink dissipates heat produced by the light source. The a heatsink includes a light source disposed portion on which the light source is disposed and a heat dissipating portion disposed farther from a front of the display device relative to the light source disposed portions in a thickness direction of the display panel. The heat dissipating portion includes fins having plate shapes and being arranged in the thickness direction of the display panel.

A lighting device includes a chassis; light sources; and a rectangular substrate formed of a long rectangular plate-shaped member disposed in the chassis, having the light sources attached to a front surface thereof, and having a plurality of first alignments indicating positions of the light sources. The plurality of first alignments are provided at positions facing each other with the light source interposed therebetween a pair of long sides of the rectangular substrate, and are confirmed at least from a back surface side of the rectangular substrate.

A backlight unit includes a chassis, an LED, a light guide plate, a duct member, and dissipative LED attachment portion. The chassis includes a light exit portion through which light exits. The LED is arranged close to an end portion of the chassis. The light guide plate is arranged closer to a middle area of the chassis than the LED and light from the LED is guided toward the light exit portion thereby. The duct member is arranged on the side opposite to the light exit portion side of the chassis and has an air passage therein. The dissipative LED attachment portion is provided to the duct member and includes one part facing the air passage and another part protruding to inside of the chassis and to which the LED is attached.

A display device includes a display device main body including a display panel provided on a circumferential portion thereof with an electrode unit and a dummy electrode unit, a chassis housing the display device main body, a source driver FPC configured to be electrically connected to the electrode unit and supply an electric signal to the display panel, and a flexible fixing board connected to the dummy electrode unit and fixed to the chassis.

This makes a high-temperature-leak compensating resistance ready to function. While, when the voltage of an output terminal OUT rises to be not less than the predetermined value, a controlling signal which does not conduct the compensating resistance switch by the switch driving circuit is outputted so that the current does not flow to the high-temperature-leak compensating resistance.
