A recording material wherein a color forming system comprising (a) a fluorene compound as a dye precursor, (b) a color developer, (c) an isocyanate compound, and (d) in imido compound, gives a developed color image having an absorption at near infrared portion and excellent image storability.

There is disclosed a thermosensitive recording material improved in thermal response and image retention which comprises a support and, provided thereon, a thermosensitive recording layer containing a generally colorless or slightly colored dye precursor and a developer which, upon being heated, reacts with said dye precursor to develop color, wherein said thermosensitive recording layer contains as sensitizer a compound selected from a group consisting of p-benzylbiphenyl, diaryl esters of adipic acid, ##STR1## (wherein R represents a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents an alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl group), and ##STR3## and said developer is bis(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone.

Thermosensitive recording material

There is provided a heat sensitive recording sheet comprising a support and a heat sensitive color forming layer excellent in mechanical adaptability and recording characteristics and capable of providing clear copies. This recording sheet has a smoothness of at least 150 seconds measured according to JIS P8119, an opaqueness of 30-50% according to JIS P8138 and a stiffness in longitudinal direction of 35 or less in Clark value according to JIS P8143 and the support is a synthetic paper.

There is disclosed a thermosensitive recording material improved in thermal response and image retention which comprises a support and, provided thereon, a thermosensitive recording layer containing a generally colorless or slightly colored dye precursor and a developer which, upon being heated, reacts with said dye precursor to develop color, wherein said thermosensitive recording layer contains as sensitizer a compound selected from a group consisting of p-benzylbiphenyl, diaryl esters of adipic acid, ##STR1## (wherein R represents a substituted or unsubsitituted aralkyl group), ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents an alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl group), and ##STR3## and said developer is bis(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone.

In a color-forming sheet for no-carbon copying paper applied with a coating color basically composed of color former-containing microcapsules, a capsule protective agent and an adhesive, the edge padding aptitude of no-carbon copying papers could be improved by containing in said coating color a surface active agent in an amount of 0.1 to 4% by weight based on the microcapsules.

There is provided a desensitizer used in a quick-drying desensitizing ink for no-carbon copy paper, which is a compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen atom or methyl group; R.sup.2 represents hydrogen atom, a methyl group, a phenyl group which may have as substituent an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, ##STR2## and l and m are integers of 1 or greater than 1, l+m being not greater than 46, and p is zero or an integer of 1, provided that when p is zero R.sup.2 is the groups other than ##STR3##

A hydrophobic material such as an oil solution of a dye is dispersed by the aid of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer to form an aqueous dispersion, then a melamine-formaldehyde precondensate is added into said dispersion and the mixture is heated and hardened to produce micro-capsules. These micro-capsules are proof against leakage or oozing of the hydrophobic material and uniform in shape and can serve excellently, for example, as dye capsules used for non-carbon paper.
