Provided is a wound body of a commingled yarn, the wound body being capable of effectively suppressing fraying and sagging, disorder of a lower layer, or breakage of the commingled yarn during winding or use. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the wound body. The wound body contains a core member and a commingled yarn traversely wound onto the core member; wherein the commingled yarn is traversely wound onto the core member in two or more directions; and when the wound body is placed on a white substrate in a light-shielded space such that a cylindrical direction of the core member is upright, and light is irradiated toward a plane that includes a center axis of the cylinder, from a point that is moved a distance of a radius of the core member plus 180 cm in a direction perpendicular to the center axis from an intersection point between the center axis of the core member and the white substrate on a surface of the white substrate, and is further moved 210 cm in a direction perpendicular to the substrate face of the white substrate, linear reflection lines of a quantity equivalent to the number of directions of the traverse winding are formed on a surface of the traversely wound commingled yarn.

Wound body and method for manufacturing wound body

To provide a novel material that maintains suppleness which is the advantage of a material using fibers and has a low thermal shrinkage ratio, and a method for producing the material, a partially welded material using the material, a composite material, and a method for producing a molded product. A material including: a first region, a fiber region, and a second region continuously in a thickness direction; the first region and the second region being each independently a resin layer including from 20 to 100 mass % of a thermoplastic resin component and from 80 to 0 mass % of reinforcing fibers; the fiber region including from 20 to 100 mass % of thermoplastic resin fibers and from 80 to 0 mass % of reinforcing fibers; the thermoplastic resin component included in the first region and the thermoplastic resin component included in the second region each independently having a crystallization energy during temperature increase of 2 J/g or greater, measured by differential scanning calorimetry; and the thermoplastic resin fibers included in the fiber region having a crystallization energy during temperature increase of less than 1 J/g, measured by differential scanning calorimetry; wherein the crystallization energy during temperature increase is a value measured by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in a nitrogen stream while heating is performed from 25&#xb0; C. to a temperature that is 20&#xb0; C. higher than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin component or the thermoplastic resin fibers at a temperature increase rate of 10&#xb0; C./min.

Material, method for producing the material, partially welded material, composite material, and method of producing molded product

Provided is a commingled yarn having a dispersing property and having a smaller amount of voids, a method for manufacturing the commingled yarn, and a weave fabric using the commingled yarn. The commingled yarn comprises a continuous thermoplastic resin fiber, a continuous reinforcing fiber, and a surface treatment agent and/or sizing agent, comprises the surface treatment agent and/or sizing agent in a content of 2.0% by weight or more, relative to a total amount of the continuous thermoplastic resin fiber and the continuous reinforcing fiber, and has a dispersibility of the continuous thermoplastic resin fiber and the continuous reinforcing fiber of 70% or larger.

Commingled yarn, method for manufacturing the commingled yarn, and, weave fabric

Provided is a composite material capable of keeping a good appearance even after heat processed, a method for manufacturing a composite material and a method for manufacturing a molded article. The composite material of the present invention contains a commingled yarn that contains a continuous reinforcing fiber (A) and a continuous thermoplastic resin fiber (B) as fiber components thereof; and a thermoplastic resin fiber (C) that keeps the commingled yarn in place, a thermoplastic resin that composes the thermoplastic resin fiber (C) having a melting point 15&#xb0; C. or more higher than the melting point of a thermoplastic resin that composes the continuous thermoplastic resin fiber (B).

Composite material, method for manufacturing composite material, and method for manufacturing molded article

Provided is method for manufacturing a molded article that has a first portion, and a second portion that rises up from the first portion, the method comprising: placing a second material on a surface of a first material; the first material containing a reinforcing fiber (A) with a length exceeding 30 mm and a thermoplastic resin (B), the reinforcing fiber (A) being dispersed in the first material, and, the thermoplastic resin (B) being not substantially impregnated into the reinforcing fiber (A), and the second material containing a reinforcing fiber (a) with a length of 1 to 30 mm and a thermoplastic resin (b), the reinforcing fiber (a) being dispersed into the second material, and, the thermoplastic resin (b) being not substantially impregnated into the reinforcing fiber (a), and simultaneously forming the first portion and the second portion by one stroke of pressing, with a cohesive strength of the thermoplastic resin (B) and the thermoplastic resin (b) of 2 N/15 mm or larger, where the cohesive strength being measured by stacking a 15 mm-wide, 0.03 mm-thick film derived from the thermoplastic resin (B), and a 15 mm-wide, 0.03 mm-thick film derived from the thermoplastic resin (b); pressing the stack under a pressure of 0.1 MPa, at a temperature 1&#xb0; C. higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin (B) or the thermoplastic resin (b), whichever is higher, for two seconds, so as to heat seal the films partially; pulling the films at unsealed portions in the direction 180&#xb0; away from each other; and finding the force at which the heal-sealed portion separates, or the force at which the resin films rupture before being separated.

Method for manufacturing molded article

Provided is a method for manufacturing a commingled yarn that is capable of keeping a high level of dispersion of the continuous reinforcing fiber and the continuous resin fiber, moderately flexible, and less likely to cause fiber separation, and a commingled yarn a wind-up article and a woven fabric. The method for manufacturing a commingled yarn includes commingling a thermoplastic resin fiber having a treatment agent for the thermoplastic resin fiber on a surface thereof, and a continuous reinforcing fiber having a treatment agent for the continuous reinforcing fiber on a surface thereof, and heating the commingled fibers at a temperature in a range from a melting point of the thermoplastic resin composing the thermoplastic resin fiber, up to 30K higher than the melting point.
