An optical connector has an optical-connector housing in which a ferrule at an extending end of an optical fiber is incorporated. The optical-connector housing is provided at opposite ends thereof with arm portions to abut against a housing of an electrical connector. Accordingly, the optical connector and the electrical connector are prevented from connecting to each other so that damage to the optical connector is reduced.

Optical connector

A transmission apparatus which is capable of maintaining excellent EMC performances even if the number of cables to be connected thereto is increased. An electronic circuit unit is plugged into a subrack from the front of the subrack. A connector unit-receiving block is arranged on the rear surface of the subrack. A connector unit connectable with an external cable to be connected to the electronic circuit unit is plugged into the rear of the subrack at the rear of the electronic circuit unit, for being received within the connector unit-receiving block. The connector unit is configured such that a metal shield case covers a connector board having a connector mounted thereon.

An optical connector has an optical-connector housing in which a ferrule at an extending end of an optical fiber is incorporated, the optical-connector housing having a coding-key mounting portion. A coding key is mounted at the coding-key mounting portion in a condition in which the extending end of the coding key projects further than the extending end of the ferrule.

A telecommunications apparatus includes a sub-rack unit and a plurality of plug-in units inserted from a front side of the sub-rack unit in a Y direction and mounted in the sub-rack unit The plug-in unit includes a plug-in unit main body and an aluminum case that covers so as to envelope the plug-in unit main body. An intermediate guide rail member is inserted from the front of the sub-rack unit and mounted by tightening a lock bolt member similarly inserted from the front of the sub-rack unit

Communications apparatus and plug-in unit

A shelf-type telecommunications device has a back wired board assembly mounted on a back of a shelf unit into which a plurality of plug-in units are inserted side by side. The back wired board assembly has a main back wired board to which at least one plug-in unit is connected and a sub back wired board to which at least one external cable is connected, the outer surface of the main back wired board and the inner surface of the sub back wired board opposing each other. The main back wired board and the sub back wired board are fitted together by using a plurality of relay connectors or pin terminals so as to electrically connect the main back wired board and the sub back wired board to each other without the need for coaxial cables, thus reducing the size of the device.

There is provided a circuit board cabinet which is capable of more reliably preventing flames of a fire in a shelf from spreading to external devices, without degrading cooling capability thereof. Flames of the fire occurring in the shelf rise within a slot, pass through a shield plate, and then enter a heat shield unit. In the heat shield unit, the flames are first blocked by a heat shield plate and substantially reduced in force while passing through holes formed through the heat shield plate. Portions of the flames which were not blocked by the heat shield plate reach a top board of the unit after passing through the holes, where they are reduced. Since there is a predetermined distance between the heat shield plate and the top board, the flames having passed through the heat shield plate spread horizontally to some extent and then reach the top board. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the force of the flames sufficiently by the top board. The flow of cooling air in normal use is sufficiently slower than that of flames, so that there is no fear of the existence of the heat shield unit causing a degraded heat dissipation.

Circuit board cabinet

A mounting structure for an EMI prevention filter which facilitates mounting and dismounting of the EMI prevention filter onto and from an electric wire having a connector to be releasably connected to an electronic apparatus, and which allows reliable mounting of the EMI prevention filter even where the EMI prevention filter and an object electric wire do not conform fully to each other in configuration. An outer holder in which the EMI prevent filter is accommodated is disposed such that the electric wire extends through the inside thereof, and the, the outer holder is resiliently deformed and locked in this condition, where after a second threaded portion is screwed with a first threaded portion to mount the EMI prevention filter onto the electric wire.

Mounting structure for EMI prevention filter

An optical communication device comprising a horizontally rectangular main shelf, and a horizontally rectangular sub-shelf arranged in a vertically overlapping relationship with the first shelf. The main shelf and the sub-shelf have parallel guide rails in register with each other. Unit plates comprising optical modules for optical-electrical signal conversion are inserted in the main shelf in upright positions for engagement with the respective guide rails. Optical fiber supporting plates having means for supporting the optical fiber having a surplus length portion coiled in a freely extendable manner are inserted in the sub-shelf in upright positions for engagement with the respective guide rails. Accordingly, the surplus length portions of the optical fibers are orderly arranged in correspondence with the optical modules so as to prevent an incorrect connection between the optical fibers and the optical modules.
