The box-type microscope apparatus further includes a specimen vessel positioning device for fixing the specimen vessel placed on the stage at a constant position. of the stage and a positioning release device for actuating the specimen vessel positioning means when the moving housing is moved toward a position of a closed state to release a positioning of the specimen vessel performed by the specimen vessel positioning device with respect to the stage when the moving housing is opened.

Box-type microscope apparatus

A box-type motor-operated microscope has a motor-operated microscope section having a transmitting illumination optical system, an electric stage, and an image forming optical system; and a housing. The housing includes a fixed housing and a moving housing. The moving housing is movable parallel to an oblique direction with respect to the fixed housing while holding optical elements arranged above the electric stage so that the specimen vessel placed on the electric stage is made replaceable, the motor-operated microscope section is sealed and light-blocked in cooperation with the fixed housing, and the optical axis of the transmitting illumination optical system is practically aligned with that of the image forming optical system.

Box-type motor-operated microscope

An observation apparatus comprises a thermoregulation mechanism including a liquid receiving frame () that has a heater () for heating the outer frame of an immersion objective lens () and adapted to heat and maintain the temperature of the immersion liquid () contained in the frame () by means of the heater () and via the outer frame of the immersion objective lens () so as to maintain the temperature of the specimen () in the container at a constant level by utilizing heat conduction. The thermoregulation mechanism of the observation apparatus is so adapted that, when the temperature of the immersion liquid () decreases during a measurement/observation operation due to discharge of heat, the liquid () is heated again by the heater () to prevent the temperature of the specimen () from changing and maintain the temperature at a constant level.

An immersion objective lens includes a front lens, a lens frame which supports the front lens, and a liquid preventive frame which is attached around the lens frame. The liquid preventive frame includes a liquid bulb holding wall which holds a liquid supplied onto the front lens. A distal end of the liquid bulb holding wall is located more inner in the front lens in a direction parallel to a center axis of the front lens than a distal end face of the front lens.
