A female metal terminal includes resilient contact piece portions, and a tubular portion supporting the resilient contact piece portions in a cantilever manner. A longitudinal cross-sectional shape of each resilient contact piece portion is changed by forming an opening or a projection so that a load of contact of the female metal terminal with a male metal terminal can be adjusted in accordance with electrical conductivity of a plating material applied to the female metal terminal, without changing a contour shape of the female metal terminal in a developed condition.

Female metal terminal and method of producing the same

In the low insertion force connector of a slide type, one connector housing 10 includes in the interior portion thereof a guide member 20, and a lock engaging portion 22 formed on the fitting side of the guide member 20; the other connector housing 30 includes a pair of flexible lock arms 33 provided through a pair of slits 32 respectively formed in the two side walls in the longitudinal direction thereof, and a pair of lock hold portions 34 respectively formed in the mutually opposing inner walls of the lock arms 33 and on the fitting side thereof; and, if the lock engaging portion 22 is engaged with the lock hold portions 34, then one and the other connector housing 10 and 30 can be secured to each other temporarily. The guide member 20 is held in a stand-up condition substantially in the central portion of one connector housing 10, while the lock arms 33 are situated substantially in the central portion of the other connector housing 30 in such a manner that they correspond in position to the guide member 20. Guide grooves 18 are respectively formed in the inner wall surfaces of the two longitudinal side walls of one connector housing 10, in particular, substantially at the central position thereof as well as on the fitting side thereof.

Low insertion force connector of a slide type

Disclosed is an insulation-displacement-contact connector comprising a first frame, a second frame, and tabs. The first and second frames pinch electric wires tight between them when assembled together. The first frame has an opening so that the insulation-displacement-contact pins of a mating material can pass through and touch the wires. The tabs on the second frame extend outwardly at an angle and bend exposed portions of the wires along the outer surfaces of the first frame, making the wires gripped more securely against pushing force exerted by the insulation-displacement-contact pins.

Insulation-displacement-contact connector

A wire has a conductor member and an insulation member covering the conductor member. A terminal has a wire connecting portion. The wire connecting portion has a conductor crimp portion for crimping said conductor member and an insulator crimp portion for crimping the insulation member together with the conductor member. The conductor crimp portion comprises a main body and a pair of crimp pieces extending from the main body. The crimp pieces have engaging portions which are electrically connected to the conductor member and engaged with each other when the crimp pieces are crimped.

Structure for electrically connecting a terminal and a wire

A device for detecting a burnt-out fuse in a fuse box accommodating a plurality of parallelly arranged blade-type fuses. The device comprises an insulative support body mounted to the fuse box, an electrically conductive rubber member carried on said support body and a light emitting element connected between said rubber bar member and ground. The rubber bar member faces the output sides of the blade type fuses accommodated in the fuse box such that the rubber bar member acts as a contact means ready for depressing.
