In a first file storage apparatus, a first controller, which manages a first file system comprising a plurality of files, transfers a copy of the first file to a second file storage apparatus when managing the first file, manages the copy of the first file as a first replication file, configures the replication destination of the first replication file in the first file as a first pointer and, when processing a second file as a de-duplication target file, manages the first replication file as a copy of the first file and second file, configures a first pointer in the second file, and deletes the first data on condition that the storage destination of the first data which comprises the first file has been configured in the first file, or deletes the second data on condition that the storage destination of the second data which comprises the second file has been configured in the second file.

Storage system and file management method

An information processing system includes a plurality of edge nodes to provide services relating to files, and a core node communicatively coupled to each of the edge nodes and configured to send or receive data of the files to or from the edge nodes and to manage the data of the files. Any one of the edge nodes is granted a first access right permitting update of the files, whereas any two or more of the edge nodes are granted a second access right to prohibit update of the files. The core node stores the access right granted to each of the edge nodes. When detecting that a failure has occurred in the edge node granted the first access right, the core node sends one of the edge nodes granted the second access right a first instruction to take over the first access right granted to the failed edge node.

Method of arranging dialogue type service through interactive service system

A method for collecting log information relating to specific processing from pieces of log information for integration is disclosed. Session information, which is given every time log information is processed and included in the log information held by a server, is recorded in a session-information management table. In addition, how session information associates with others among different pieces of log information is recorded in a session-information association table. Recursively searching the session-information association table by use of session information specified by a user through a target log entry input unit enables identification of a set of session information relating to the processing to which the user pays attention. Information corresponding to each of the session information related is collected from log information, and is integrated according to the recorded data and time of a log.

Method and apparatus for automatically storing a referred electronic document in a database and notifying new information to a user. In response to a request issued from a document display control unit 106, a request relay unit 108 acquires a document from a document information management unit 113 and stores it in a document database 117. When a document which matches an interested item 112 is stored, an information monitor unit 111 notifies it to the user.
