An energy treatment instrument includes an electrically conductive probe having a first electrode in a distal end portion and adapted to transmit high-frequency electric current and ultrasound vibration to the first electrode, an electrode member installed on both sides of a longitudinal axis of the first electrode separately from the electrically conductive probe and provided with a second electrode, and a movable member. The movable member is installed at a distal end of the sheath member and configured to be openable and closable with respect to the second electrode. The movable member is placed at a position facing the first electrode installed at the distal end of the probe and the second electrode and includes a third electrode provided with an electrode surface configured to be able to conduct high-frequency electric current between the third electrode and the first and second electrodes.

Energy treatment instrument

An ultrasound treatment system comprises an ultrasonic transducer, a handpiece, a probe, a sheath, a clamping member, an operation unit, an operating member, a suction base, and a perfusion base. The ultrasonic transducer generates ultrasonic vibrations. The handpiece has the ultrasonic transducer incorporated therein. The probe is connected to the ultrasonic transducer for transmitting ultrasonic vibrations to a distal member realizing a stationary portion that is a treatment portion for treating a living tissue. The sheath serves as a protecting member for shielding the probe. The clamping member is opposed to the distal member at the distal end of the sheath for clamping a living tissue in cooperation with the distal member. The operation unit is manipulated for clamping a living tissue with the clamping member and distal member or freeing the living tissue therefrom.

An ultrasonic treatment apparatus includes a sheath which has an opening at a distal-end thereof; an ultrasonic transducer which is connected to the sheath, the ultrasonic transducer being able to generate ultrasonic vibration which is of treatment energy; an ultrasonic power supply unit which supplies electric power for driving the ultrasonic transducer; a treatment unit which is connected to the ultrasonic transducer, the treatment unit transmitting the ultrasonic vibration to a living tissue; and a high-frequency power supply unit which supplies high-frequency current which is of the treatment energy to the treatment unit.

A treatment instrument output data analysis section includes a probe ID extraction section, an output waveform extraction section, a data analysis section and an analysis result output section. The analysis result output section of the treatment instrument output data analysis section can display on a centralized display panel a synthetic image made by synthesizing a frame image stored in an image storage section of an endoscopic camera apparatus and an analysis result analyzed by the data analysis section.

An ultrasonic treatment apparatus comprises an endoscope having an insertion portion to be inserted in a body cavity, and a treatment unit having an ultrasonic vibrator which generates ultrasonic vibrations, and a treatment portion which performs treatment by utilizing the ultrasonic vibrations generated by the ultrasonic vibrator. The ultrasonic treatment apparatus further comprises a treatment unit holding portion, which is provided in a distal end portion of the insertion portion and to which the treatment unit is attached, a cable which transmits an electric signal to the ultrasonic vibrator, and at least one bundle member which bundles the insertion portion and the cable.

An ultrasonic treatment appliance includes a handpiece with a built-in ultrasonic transducer, and an elongated probe extending forward from the handpiece and connected to the ultrasonic transducer in order to propagate ultrasonic vibrations. The perfusion base is formed on the outer circumference of the handpiece and communicating with the lamen of the sheath.

An ultrasonic coagulating/cutting apparatus is provided which includes a switching member for switching the force to hold an organism tissue between a jaw and a probe during operation for opening or closing the jaw.

Ultrasonic coagulating/cutting apparatus

A trocar is provided having a needle unit. The needle unit has a paracentetic section, which is substantially pyramidal. The paracentetic section has two curved surfaces that diagonally oppose each other. The surfaces are formed by cutting the ridges of the section, which diagonally oppose each other. The remaining two ridges of the paracentetic section make, respectively, sharp cutting edges for cutting living tissues. The cutting edges are substantially symmetrical to each other with respect to the axis of the needle unit.

Ultrasonic trocar

A hand-piece comprises an arm main body which moves relative to a grip section, and an arm section having a clamp member openable and closable with respect to a probe section. As a result of movement of the arm main body relative to the grip section, the clamp member is shifted between a closure position in which the clamp member cooperates with the probe section to hold living tissue between the clamp member and the probe section, and an open position in which the clamp member is separated from the probe section to release the living tissue.

An ultrasonic treatment apparatus according to the present invention comprises an ultrasonic transducer for generating ultrasonic vibration, a vibration transmitting member for transmitting the ultrasonic vibration generated by the ultrasonic transducer, the vibration transmitting member having a proximal end connected to the ultrasonic transducer and a distal end portion used to treat a living organism by means of the transmitted ultrasonic vibration, a grasping member opposed to the distal end portion of the vibration transmitting member and having a grasping surface capable of grasping the living organism in cooperation with the distal end portion, an operating mechanism for moving the grasping member between a closed position in which the grasping member engages the distal end portion of the vibration transmitting member and an open position in which the grasping member is separated from distal end portion, and a follow-up mechanism for driving or allowing the grasping member in the closed position to follow a deflective displacement of the distal end portion of the vibration transmitting member so that the substantially whole surface of the grasping surface of the grasping member contacts with the distal end portion of the vibration transmitting member.
