A compressing device for a pneumatic massager includes a bag body formed of a plurality of airtight cells with sealed portions for separating the airtight cells and adapted to inflate and contract the airtight cells by supplying and discharging compressed air to and from the bag body. At least one of the airtight cells is provided with a port for supplying and discharging compressed air. The bag body is provided with a communicating path allowing communication between the at least one airtight cell and the airtight cells lacking the port.

A remedial device for hand insufficiency includes a device body having an obverse surface and a reverse surface, a compressed air supply source and an air supply-discharge hose interconnecting the device body and the compressed air supply source. Each of the obverse and reverse surfaces of the device body is provided thereon with a plurality of air sacks inflated and shrunken by the action of compressed air supplied and discharged for expanding and elongating the fingers and for elongating the wrist and arm joint. A hemostatic unit for the determination of arteriovenous bloodstreams comprises a flat cuff (15) having a length sufficient to be wound by about one and a half turns around the region to be measured and being chargeable with compressed air, a pump (11, 21) for feeding said compressed air into said cuff (15), a pressure regulating valve (13, 23) for regulating the pressure of said compressed air, an air supply/discharge circuit for connecting an outlet (11a, 21a) of said pump (11, 21) to an air inlet (15b) of said cuff (15), and an air suction circuit branching out of said air supply/discharge circuit and connected to an inlet of said pump (11, 21). The unit further includes an electromagnetic valve (12, 22, 22') provided in said air/supply circuit and said air suction circuit with its given valve port being in open communication with the atmosphere.
