The present invention provides a patch containing an adhesive layer maintaining a drug, which is formed on a support, wherein the aforementioned adhesive layer comprises a thermoplastic elastomer, a non-volatile hydrocarbon oil in an amount exceeding 50 parts by weight and not more than 800 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the elastomer, and rivastigmine or a salt thereof, and the aforementioned adhesive layer optionally further contains a tackifier at a content in the adhesive layer of not more than 10 wt %.

The invention provides an adhesive sheet for skin, which shows sufficient adhesiveness to the skin and causes low skin irritation. The adhesive sheet contains an adhesive layer formed on a support, in which the adhesive layer contains at least a thermoplastic elastomer, a non-volatile hydrocarbon oil, and polyisobutylene, but no tackifier. The polyisobutylene is a medium molecular weight polyisobutylene with a viscosity average molecular weight of more than 100,000 and not more than 500,000. The invention also provides a percutaneous absorption preparation containing a drug or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in an adhesive layer of the inventive adhesive sheet for skin.

An aqueous loxoprofen-containing patch is provided, which has good stability and excellent transdermal absorption of loxoprofen. The aqueous patch includes loxoprofen or a salt thereof and triacetin. Specifically, the aqueous patch includes, based on the weight of the adhesive gel base, 0.1 to 5% by weight of loxoprofen or a salt thereof, 0.5 to 5% by weight of triacetin, 1 to 30% by weight of a water-soluble polymer, 0.01 to 5% by weight of a cross-linking agent, 10 to 90% by weight of purified water, and 0 to 20% by weight of an inorganic powder.

A patch containing a storage layer retaining a drug or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and an adhesive layer which are formed on a support, wherein the adhesive layer contains a thermoplastic elastomer, and a non-volatile hydrocarbon oil in more than 50 parts by weight and not more than 800 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the elastomer, and the adhesive layer optionally further contains a tackifier at a content of not more than 10 wt %.

It is provided the plaster of anti-inflammatory and analgesic, improving the sustained releasing of 4-biphenylacetic acid from the base adhesive material and low skin irritation, by using more than two kinds of resolvent for 4-biphenylacetic acid having low solubility in solvents. More specifically, it is provided plasters essentially containing 5&#x2013;50% by weight of styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, 0.05&#x2013;20% by weight of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, 0.1&#x2013;20% by weight of polyethylene glycol and 0.1&#x2013;20% by weight of 4-biphenylacetic acid.

In order to provide an external skin patch having improved painkilling effect for pains accompanied by inflammation, such as chronic arthrorheumatism, arthrosis deformans or low back pain, an external skin patch is obtained by coating a drug-containing base on a substrate; the drug-containing base comprises an adhesive gel base containing a water soluble polymeric material, a crosslinking agent, water and a humectant as essential components, and a local anesthetic and a nonsteroidal antiphlogistic analgesic agent as medicinal components.

An external preparation for application to the skin containing lidocaine which comprises a drug-retaining layer placed on a support, wherein said drug-retaining layer comprises an adhesive gel base and 1 to 10% by weight of lidocaine, said base comprising a water-soluble high molecular weight substance, water and a water-retaining agent, which can release the active lidocaine gradually and constantly so that lidocaine is transdermally absorbed for a long period of time.
