A paper ejection device holds paper ejected out from an upstream device through a paper-ejection opening of the upstream device. The paper ejection device includes: a pair of side fences arranged parallel and perpendicularly to a paper ejection direction, the paper ejection direction being a direction in which paper is ejected through the paper-ejection opening, to restrict positions of edges of the ejected paper in a width direction; and a control unit that, when an ejection speed at which the paper is ejected through the paper-ejection opening is higher than a predetermined speed, controls spacing between the pair of side fences to be narrower than spacing between the pair of side fences for paper ejected at a speed equal to or lower than the predetermined speed.

A multicolor stencil printer including print drums each storing an ink of a particular color, pressing members each positioned and configured to move into contact with a particular one of the print drums to nip a recording medium for printing and move out of the contact to transport the recording medium toward downstream, and holding devices each assigned to a particular one of the pressing members for holding the particular one of the pressing members out of the contact with the particular one of the print drums, wherein in a color selective mode, the print drums and the pressing members selectively cooperate to nip the recording medium such that the holding devices assigned to unused pressing members hold the unused pressing members away from the print drums associated cooperatively with the unused pressing members.

Discharging of used printing presses is executed in a narrow space of a mimeograph printing machine body, both simply and cheaply. A pair of rollers convey a used printing press peeled off from a plate cylinder. A press receiving plate swings by 180.degree. around an axis. It receives the printing press conveyed by the pair of rollers at a first position thereof and further conveys the same by its swinging activity toward a second position. A discharge box collects and allows piling of the used printing presses conveyed by the press receiving plate. It is disposed at the end of the conveying path and below the second position of the press receiving plate. The press receiving plate thereby performs both swinging activity around the axis to convey the used printing presses toward the discharge box and compresses the same to increase the number of the printing presses to be discharged therein.
