A structure of a push-button switch is disclosed which can prevent the occurrence of a poor conduction caused by the influence of dust which has entered the switch and ensuring a stable contact reliability despite of adopting a contact structure which uses round wire rods. The push-button switch comprises a housing having a receptacle portion, a fixed terminal formed by a wire rod, embedded in the housing, and partially projecting to the exterior of the housing, a fixed contact integral with the fixed terminal and using as a contact portion a partially exposed, raised portion of the wire rod exposed to an inside bottom of the receptacle portion of the housing, and a dome-like movable contact accommodated in the receptacle portion and capable of moving into contact with and away from the fixed contact, wherein a groove is formed in an upper surface of the raised portion of the fixed contact so as to cross the raised portion transversely and/or longitudinally, and the thus grooved-upper surface of the raised portion comes into contact with the movable contact.

Push-button switch with part to a wire rod exposed to an inside bottom of housing to form a contact portion

A switch is disclosed having a switch element comprised of a laminated structure including a fixed contact member and a movable contact member spaced apart with a spacer interposed therebetween. The fixed contact member and the movable contact member have respective terminals extending out of a case body of the switch and are adapted to be soldered to a soldering land of a printed circuit board. The switch is improved by providing a projection between the switch element and the case body for creating a space. The space created by the projection prevents solder flux from moving by capillary action into the contact portions of the switch element.

Solder attachable push button switch

A push-button switch which eliminates a dispersion in on and off timings thereof is disclosed. The push-button switch has a pressing spring, and a switch element which includes a pressing piece, a fixed contact element and a movable contact element. The movable contact element is contacted with the fixed contact element when an acting projection of the pressing spring press against a movable contact element pressing portion at an end of a leg portion of the pressing piece. The movable contact element pressing portion of the pressing piece gradually narrows towards its end, and is of substantially the same thickness of material as the leg portion thereof. The gradually narrowing movable contact element pressing portion of the pressing piece is in a contiguous relationship to the leg portion has a projection provided on a surface thereof for contacting with the acting projection of the pressing spring and has a rib provided on the opposite face thereof for pressing against the movable contact element.

A push-button switch with uniform on and off timings

A method of making any key of a keyboard having a top surface on which a symbol is formed by padding. An ultraviolet-curing resin is applied by padding to only the surface of a material forming the symbol to form an overcoating layer covering only the surface of the symbol. The layer is cured by ultraviolet radiation.
