A fuel cell apparatus includes a fuel cell module including a housing and a fuel cell housed in the housing, the fuel cell generating electric power with use of a fuel gas and an oxygen-containing gas; and a heat exchanger which carries out heat exchange between a medium and exhaust gas from the fuel cell module, the heat exchanger being arranged laterally to the housing.

A fuel cell module may include: a cell stack device including a cell stack including an array of a plurality of fuel cells, a manifold which supplies a fuel gas to each of the fuel cells, and a reformer which reforms a raw fuel; an oxygen-containing gas flow channel through which the oxygen-containing gas flows; an oxygen-containing gas introduction plate which supplies the oxygen-containing gas to each of the plurality of fuel cells; a housing including a box body of which one side is opened to provide an opening and a lid (closed plate) which closes the opening; a gas pipe joint, an ignition heater, a thermocouple, etc. which are a plurality of insertion members inserted from an outside of the housing into an accommodation chamber, the respective insertion members being inserted through one surface (lid surface) of the housing.

Fuel cell module and fuel cell apparatus

A fuel cell module includes: a cell stack apparatus including a cell stack including an array of a plurality of fuel cells, a manifold which feeds a fuel gas to each of the fuel cells, and a reformer which reforms a raw fuel; an oxygen-containing gas introduction plate which feeds an oxygen-containing gas to each of the fuel cells; and a housing which houses the cell stack apparatus and the oxygen-containing gas introduction plate. The housing includes a box having an open side and a lid which closes the open side of the box, and the box has a length of the open side which is greater than a maximum length of a projected plane of the cell stack apparatus as viewed from a lateral side of the cell stack apparatus.

Fuel cell module, fuel cell apparatus, and fuel cell module manufacturing method

A fuel cell device is improved for operating conditions during a partial load operation. The fuel cell device comprises a cell stack formed by electrically connecting fuel cells for generating power by fuel gas and oxygen-containing gas; a fuel gas supply unit for supplying the fuel gas to the fuel cells; and a power adjustment unit for adjusting the amount of current that is supplied to an external load and a controller for controlling the fuel gas supply unit and the power adjustment unit. The controller adjusts, during the partial load operation of the fuel cell device and when the fuel gas supplied to the cell stack is at a low flow rate. The relationship between a fuel utilization rate of the cell stack and the amount of power generated by the cell stack can be nonlinear.

Fuel cell device

A cell stack device in the present disclosure includes a cell stack including a plurality of arranged cells, and a first manifold configured to fix a first end of each of the cells with a sealing material and supply reactive gas to the cells. The first manifold includes a frame body configured to fix the first end of each of the cells with the sealing material inside the frame body, and a plate body bonded to a first end portion of the frame body and having a rigidity lower than that of the frame body. A module in the present disclosure includes a housing and the cell stack device housed in the housing. Furthermore, a module housing device in the present disclosure includes an external casing, the module in the external casing, and an auxiliary device configured to operate the module in the external casing.

Cell stack device, module, and module housing device

A fuel cell device is improved for operating conditions during a partial load operation. The fuel cell device comprises a cell stack formed by electrically connecting fuel cells for generating power by fuel gas and oxygen-containing gas; a fuel gas supply unit for supplying the fuel gas to the fuel cells; and a power adjustment unit for adjusting the amount of current that is supplied to an external load and a controller for controlling the fuel gas supply unit and the power adjustment unit. A fuel cell module includes: in a casing, a fuel cell stack that is formed by stacking a plurality of unit cells; and an oxidant gas distributing member that is disposed at a side surface, that extends in a stack direction, of the fuel cell stack, that extends in a direction from one end to another end of each of the unit cells, and that supplies the oxidant gas along the oxidant gas distributing member from the one end to the another end to supply the oxidant gas to the another end of each unit cell. The oxidant gas distributing member includes a heat exchange restraint portion that restrains heat exchange between the unit cells and the oxidant gas in at least one of end portions of the fuel cell stack in the stack direction, in comparison with the heat exchange thereof in other portion in the fuel cell stack.

Fuel cell module

A reformer including a vaporization part provided with a supply port through which raw fuel is supplied, the supply port being provided at a central section of a tubular container; and reforming parts provided at both sides of the container, each reforming part containing reforming catalyst that reforms the raw fuel that flows into the reforming part from the vaporization part into fuel gas and provided with a fuel-gas supply port through which the fuel gas is discharged.

Fuel battery module and fuel battery device

A fuel cell module includes in a casing: a fuel cell stack that is formed by stacking a plurality of unit cell; an oxidant gas distributing member that is disposed at a side surface, that extends in a stack direction of the unit cells, of the fuel cell stack that extends in a direction from one end to another end of each of the unit cells, and that supplies the oxidant gas to the another end of each unit cell after supplying the oxidant gas through the oxidant gas distributing member from the one end to the another end; a reformer disposed at the one end; and a combustion portion that is disposed between the one end and the reformer. The oxidant gas distributing member has a higher thermal conductivity at the one end side of the unit cells than at the another end side of the unit cells.

A shift control apparatus of an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle to which torque is transmitted from an engine via a fluid coupling device is provided. In the automatic transmission including a plurality of hydraulically operated friction elements, a clutch-to-clutch downshift is carried out during coasting of the vehicle by releasing one of the friction elements and engaging another friction element. A controller of the shift control apparatus detects a difference between input and output rotation speeds of the fluid coupling device, and increases an engine speed by a controlled amount based on the difference between the input and output rotation speeds when the clutch-to-clutch downshift is carried out during coasting of the vehicle, so that the vehicle is brought into a minimal driving state in which the engine speed is slightly higher than the output rotation speed of the fluid coupling device.

Shift control apparatus of automatic transmission of motor vehicle

A duty ratio for controlling an engagement force of a friction engagement device on the side of upshift engagement is corrected by an amount corresponding to an intermediate correction control value in the course of the shift. In addition, on a prerequisite condition that learning correction of a constant standby pressure control value at the start of the shift is converged, learning correction is performed for the intermediate correction control value according to a gradient of a turbine speed. Thus, a shift shock is prevented from occurring due to abrupt engagement of the friction engagement device and the like at the completion of the shift.
