The present disclosure relates to an optical connector includes at least one optical fiber; and a lens element including at least one lens that couples light to an end face of the optical fiber. The distance FLh between the end face of the optical fiber and a vertex of the lens is expressed by the sum of the distance FL from the vertex of the lens to the focal point F positioned in a back face direction of the lens and the length δ between the end face of the optical fiber and the focal point F, and the length δ is longer than 10 μm.

Optical connector and optical connector connection structure

An optical connection component includes an optical fiber; a high relative refractive-index difference optical fiber that is fusion-spliced to the optical fiber and has a greater relative refractive-index difference to a cladding of a core than the optical fiber; and an accommodating member accommodating the entire length of the optical fiber and the high relative refractive-index difference optical fiber, and has a first end face on which an end face of the optical fiber on the side opposite to the fusion-spliced side is exposed to be substantially flush with the first end face, and a second end face on which an end face of the high relative refractive-index difference optical fiber on the side opposite to the fusion-spliced side is exposed to be substantially flush with the second end face. The optical fiber and the high relative refractive-index difference optical fiber are fixed to the accommodating member.

Optical connection component

An optical connection component includes: a plurality of types of optical fibers; a plurality of high relative refractive-index difference optical fibers in each of which a relative refractive-index difference between a core and a cladding is larger than a relative refractive-index difference in each of the plurality of types of optical fibers and which are fusion spliced to the plurality of types of optical fibers; and a fixing member having a plurality of V-shaped grooves that receive the high relative refractive-index difference optical fibers with coating removed, the fixing member being configured to fix relative positions of the high relative refractive-index difference optical fibers and an optical element when optically coupling the high relative refractive-index difference optical fibers, which have been fusion spliced to the plurality of types of optical fibers, to the optical element. The high relative refractive-index difference optical fibers are of the same type.

An optical fiber is contacted by a first guide part on the inside of a bend. The first guide part is disposed apart from a region of a fixing member from which the optical fiber is drawn out. Specifically, a first non-contact part in which the optical fiber does not contact a guide member is provided between the first guide part and the drawn out part of the optical fiber from the fixing member. The optical fiber also contacts a second guide part on the outside of the bend. The second guide part is disposed apart from the first guide part, and a second non-contact part in which the optical fiber does not contact the guide member is also provided between the first guide part and the second guide part.

Optical-path-bending connector and optical-path-bending connector assembly

An optical fiber array according to one embodiment includes: an optical fiber; and a support member that supports the optical fiber. The support member comprises a mixture material of a base material and a solid material made of a material different from the base material, in which the base material contains at least either of thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin, a light transmittance for at least one wavelength within a UV light wavelength range greater than or equal to 300 nm and less than or equal to 450 nm with respect to the support member having a thickness of 3 mm is 30% or greater, and an average light transmittance for a wavelength within a visible light wavelength range greater than or equal to 380 nm and less than or equal to 780 nm with respect to the support member having a thickness of 3 mm is 70% or less.

Optical fiber array

A plurality of holes are formed in a ferrule. The holes are at sites penetrated by the tips of optical fibers. An opening is formed in the upper surface of the ferrule and an internal housing section is exposed from the opening. The housing section is at a site at which an optical fiber holding member is housed. The optical fibers are held by the optical fiber holding member. The optical fibers are multi-core fibers. In other words, the optical fibers have a specified axis of symmetry in a cross-section vertical to the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers and have orientation relative to a rotation direction having the longitudinal direction as the axis thereof.

Multi-core connector, connector, and connector connection mechanism

An optical connector includes an optical fiber, and a ferrule configured to hold the optical fiber, wherein the ferrule has a front part, a rear part, a deformable mechanism to connect between the front part and the rear part, and an opening to allow the optical fiber to bend along with displacement of the deformable mechanism, and wherein the deformable mechanism has a restrictor to restrict the displacement or deformation of the deformable mechanism, the restrictor being provided at least between the deformable mechanism and the front part or between the deformable mechanism and the rear part.

Optical connector

The present invention provides a connector unit that can surely position and connect a plurality of optical fiber plugs in a short time and easily release a connected state of optical fiber connectors even if the number of optical fiber connectors increases. A connector unit includes a positioning member for positioning a plurality of optical fiber plugs, an adapter that has plug guide holes for inserting tip ends of the optical fiber plugs to connect with the optical fiber plugs, and guide portions for guiding the positioning member with respect to the adapter and inserting the tip ends of the optical fiber plugs into the plug guide holes of the adapter to connect with the optical fiber plugs.

Connector unit

An optical connector includes a fiber holder with guide holes for guiding optical fibers, a space communicating with the guide holes and to accommodate the optical fibers, and a deformable member that forms at least a part of the fiber holder and causes the space to deform or displace to allow a part or all of the optical fibers to bend in the space.

Optical connector, optical fiber incorporating method, and electronic information equipment

An optical connector unit includes optical fiber plugs to be attached to and detached from the optical connector unit; a member for location, with each of the optical fiber plugs being inserted into respective opening holes of the member for location; an adaptor, a front part of each of the optical fiber plugs being individually inserted into and connected to the adaptor; a connection jig for pushing the member for location toward a side of the adaptor and then for inserting the front part of each of the optical fiber plugs into the adaptor; and a detachment jig for detaching each of the optical fiber plugs from the adaptor by being engaged with the member for location and then by pulling the member for location.

Optical connector unit

An optical fiber connector includes a connector ferrule having an end face serving as a connection end face of the optical fiber connector, and an optical fiber fixed in the connector ferrule and protruding from the end face of the connector ferrule. A central portion of the optical fiber including a core thereof protrudes from a peripheral portion thereof. Thus, even in cases where the connection end face of an optical component to which the optical fiber connector is connected is uneven and a region thereof to which the optical fiber is connected is recessed, the core of the optical fiber can be connected to the region without fail since the core of the optical fiber protrudes from the peripheral portion of same.
