A controller for an internal combustion engine includes a detector and a processor. The detector detects a combustion condition of a gas in a cylinder of the internal combustion engine. The processor is configured to calculate a fuel ratio in the gas in the cylinder. The processor is configured to calculate a target combustion condition according to the fuel ratio. The processor is configured to calculate an ignition timing such that the combustion condition detected by the detector becomes equal to the target combustion condition.

A fuel injection valve includes a cylinder internal pressure sensor disposed in the vicinity of a distal end thereof. The cylinder internal pressure sensor detects a cylinder internal pressure in a cylinder and outputs a first sensor signal Ss1 responsive to the detected cylinder internal pressure. Further, a signal processor, which carries out predetermined signal processing with respect to the first sensor signal Ss1 to thereby convert the first sensor signal Ss1 into a second sensor signal Ss2, is disposed between the cylinder internal pressure sensor and a solenoid unit, which is disposed on a proximal end side of the fuel injection valve.

In a drive control device in a drive system including a four joint link mechanism type continuously variable transmission having a one-way clutch (OWC) which can transmit only power from a power source to driving wheels, the drive control device is configured to limit a transmission ratio or an output of the power source when an output speed of the continuously variable transmission is lower than a threshold value. The threshold value is represented as an output speed of the continuously variable transmission at an intersection point of a line that represents an output torque where a maximum driving force is achieved and a line that represents a torque outputted when a swing angle of an input member of the OWC which converts rotational power from the power source into swing power becomes a maximum torsion angle.

Drive control device

Provided are a drive system and a method for controlling the drive system which reduce a shock to a third shaft at the start of an internal combustion engine during EV driving. The drive system includes an engine, a first shaft connected to a crankshaft, a second shaft, a first clutch, a motor generator, a third shaft, a first transmission, a one-way clutch, and an ECU for controlling a gear ratio of the first transmission and the first clutch. The first transmission includes a rotating ring, a rocking portion, and a rotation radius variation mechanism. If an angular velocity of the rocking portion is higher than or equal to a rotational speed of the third shaft, the one-way clutch transmits a power in only one direction of the rocking portion to the third shaft.

Drive system and method for controlling drive system

Provided is a drive system that enables a reduction in the rise time of foot axis torque even if the drive system has a one-way clutch. The drive system includes a one-way clutch between a transmission and an output shaft. When a coasting determination unit determines to perform a coasting control, a control unit executes the coasting control by reducing the engine rotation speed of an internal combustion engine or stopping the engine rotation to bring the one-way clutch into a non-transmission state, and changing the transmission gear ratio of the transmission to a transmission gear ratio smaller than the transmission gear ratio calculated by a calculation unit.

A power transmission apparatus includes a drive shaft, a driven shaft, a first transmission device, a first one-way power transmission mechanism, a second transmission device, a second one-way power transmission mechanism, and a controller. The first transmission device is to change power of the drive shaft. The first one-way power transmission mechanism is to transmit power changed by the first transmission device only in one direction to the driven shaft. The second transmission device is to change power of the driven shaft. The second one-way power transmission mechanism is to transmit power changed by the second transmission device only in one direction to the drive shaft. The controller is configured to change ratios of the first transmission device and the second transmission device. The controller is configured to make the ratio of the first transmission device larger than the ratio of the second transmission device.

There is provided a drive system for a vehicle. The system includes: an internal combustion engine (ENG); a transmission mechanism (TM) a one-way clutch (OWC); a rotated driving member (); an electric motor (MG) that rotates the output shaft of the internal combustion engine; an electric motor generator (MG) that transmits the rotational power to the rotated driving member and performs regenerative operation by receiving the rotational power output from the rotated driving member; and a controller () configured to cut off a fuel supply to the internal combustion engine and control the electric motor to rotate the output shaft of the internal combustion engine while the electric motor generator performs the regenerative operation.

A control system for an internal combustion engine having a compressor wheel and a turbine wheel connected with the compressor wheel and rotationally driven by kinetic energy of exhaust gases from the engine, an exhaust gas flow rate changing device for changing a flow rate of exhaust gases injected to the turbine wheel, an exhaust gas recirculation passage for recirculating the exhaust gases to an intake pipe of the engine, and an exhaust gas recirculation control valve disposed in the exhaust gas recirculation passage. An exhaust pressure is detected, and a value of an intake gas parameter is obtained. A target value of the exhaust pressure and a target value of the intake pipe gas parameter are calculated. A control amount of the exhaust gas flow rate changing device and an opening control amount of the exhaust gas recirculation control valve are calculated using a model predictive control.
