In one embodiment, a toner cartridge of the invention is installed in an image forming apparatus, and includes a toner storage container that has a toner discharge port, and a toner discharge roller disposed inside of the toner storage container so as to block the toner discharge port. An inner wall of the toner storage container faced by the toner discharge roller is provided with a curved region that has a curvature that matches a curvature of the toner discharge roller.

A surface of a photosensitive body is charged and exposed to light to form an electrostatic latent image that is developed with toner having the same polarity as the surface. The toner image is transferred to a transfer material. During non-image forming periods a first step of applying a first voltage having the same polarity as that of the surface of the photosensitive body and an absolute value larger than the electric image forming potential of the transfer member is performed for a first period of time. In addition, a second step of applying a second voltage having an absolute value smaller than the absolute value of the electric potential of the surface of the photosensitive body to the transfer member for a second period of time not shorter than the first period of time is performed alternately with the first step.

Apparatus and method for forming image

A speaker includes a diaphragm, a frame accommodating the diaphragm and an edge attached to an outer periphery of the diaphragm as well as to an inner periphery of the frame so as to retain the diaphragm within an interior of the frame. The edge has a thickness which is smallest at substantially a central portion between the diaphragm and the frame and the vicinity thereof, and increases toward the diaphragm and the frame.

An image forming apparatus includes (i) a photosensitive drum for holding an electrostatic latent image on its surface, the photosensitive drum being driven to rotate by a motor, (ii) charging means for charging the surface of the photosensitive drum so that the surface has a predetermined polarity and a predetermined potential, (iii) exposing means for forming an electrostatic latent image by exposing the charged surface of the photosensitive drum, and (iv) developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image, and is arranged so that after stop of the motor due to occurrence of a trouble, during an inertial rotation time in which the photosensitive drum rotates due to an inertial force, the exposing means executes discharge exposure with respect to a charge remaining region on the surface of the photosensitive drum.

A heating cooking apparatus utilizes a sensor of the type used in a conventional heating cooking apparatus. Provided is an electro-dynamic speaker having a unique damper extending between a coil bobbin carried by the inner periphery of a diaphragm and a frame carrying the outer periphery of the diaphragm. Due to the provision of the unique damper, a satisfactory compliance along the axis of the bobbin and a favorable regulating force against radial deforming force are obtained, to ensure a good linearility of the force-displacement characteristics of the speaker in the low frequency range even during vibration at a large amplitude.

A headphone is designed to have two resonant peaks for simulating loudspeaker reproduction. The headphone comprises a housing in which an electroacoustic transducer with a diaphragm is positioned, wherein the housing is formed with a rearward cavity positioned adjacent to the diaphragm remote from the listener's ear to provide an acoustic compliance to the generated acoustic energy. In order to generate the two resonant peaks to simulate a sensation of realism as if the listener is hearing sound from a loudspeaker, the rearward cavity is communicated with the atmosphere through apertures. The acoustic compliance of the rearward cavity coacts with the apertures to produce two resonant peaks at frequencies corresponding to the frequencies of the peaks which occur in a signal from the loudspeaker.

A headphone capable of attaining binaural hearing giving substantially the same sound quality as one would expect from ordinary loudspeakers, said headphone having such sound pressure versus frequency characteristics that there are two peaks between 1.5 and 5 KHz and the level differences between the low level area and the peaks are limited within the range of 6 to 17 dB. The headphone leads the sound from a transducer through the outside as well as inside of the headphone to the ears.
