A headup display apparatus for vehicles is capable of suppressing deterioration of luminance of virtual images, while avoiding a cost increase. This headup display apparatus includes: a light emitting unit having at least a light emitting body that emits output light; a liquid crystal display which emits display light; a concave mirror which reflects the display light; and a housing which houses the light emitting unit, the liquid crystal display, and the concave mirror. The output light that has been emitted from the light emitting body, and the display light that has been reflected by the concave mirror are radiated to a windshield through a translucent cover, and a virtual image obtained by means of the radiation is visually recognized by a driver. The light emitting unit is disposed inside of the housing such that the light emitting unit faces the windshield with the translucent cover therebetween.

Headup display apparatus for vehicle

A combiner storage device is equipped with: a holder for holding a combiner; a first connection section that can rotate about a first fixed shaft, said first fixed shaft being positioned at one end of the first connection section, and the other end of the first connection section being connected to the holder; and a second connection section that can rotate about a second fixed shaft, said second fixed shaft being positioned at one end of the second connection section, and the other end of the second connection section being connected to the holder. The combiner can be moved from a projected state to a stored state by means of a four-link mechanism.

Combiner storage device, head-up display device

A first indicator has a display board, a pointer to point the display board, a light source to subject the display board to transmitted illumination, and pointer driving means to drive the pointer. A housing stores the first indicator, a second indicator formed of a first light emitting type indicator, and a third indicator formed of a second light emitting type indicator. The viewer sees the second indicator reflected upon a semi-transmitting reflection board, the third indicator through the semi-transmitting refection board, and the first indicator not through the semi-transmitting reflection board.

Display device with indicators having increased brightness

A second supporting section installed detachably on a supporting surface is connected to a first supporting section installed detachably on a head-up display, such that the supporting sections can move relative to each other. Receiving sections provided on the under side of the head-up display comprises receiving surface. The receiving surface faces the under side of the head-up display via a gap. The first supporting section comprises a inserting section. The inserting section is forced removably along the under side of the head-up display into the gap between the receiving surface and the under side of the head-up display. By means of the force fit of the inserting section into the gap, the under side of the head-up display engages with the upper surface of the first supporting section.
